When I picked up, no one said a word but I could hear loads of noise in the background, like a busy room. They just ended the call pretty quickly. Must’ve been some scammer who decided to try their luck elsewhere.

On 5th August 2023, I got a call from a woman named Sandra with an American accent. She claimed to be from Virgin Media Technical Support and said they noticed some suspicious activity on my internet, suggesting I might be hacked. Before she could go further with her script, I told her that I’d actually spent about 90 minutes the previous day chatting with Virgin Media about problems at my place, and they’d been keeping an eye on my connection for over 20 hours now. If she was legit, she should have had that info on her system. Right after that, she just hung up on me.
