They called saying they were from BT and that someone was using our number. Then they asked what we do with the broadband. They claimed they needed to fix an issue and wondered if we had a computer handy!

I got a call from some guy claiming to be with BT, saying there were weird errors because someone was using our internet late at night. Thing is, we don't even have BT broadband, but he kept saying all the internet stuff goes through BT's servers anyway. Then he wanted me to open up my computer settings or something. I just told him to stop and hung up then and there.

answered the call and there was nothing but quiet on the other end.

someone called saying they were from bt and told me there was an error with my internet. they said i needed to get on my computer so they could fix it. as soon as i told them i don’t even use bt, they hung up straight away.
