Super blunt and didn’t even let me speak when I said no to passing him on to the Partners here. As a receptionist, I’m pretty skilled at dealing with these calls and I’d tell anyone else to do the same. Make sure you put them on the Telephone Preference Service list.

Got a call at 11:47 from some stranger claiming it was a survey. Before I could say much, I told them no sales or surveys and just hung up. I’m so annoyed with these cold calls. I know the Jobcentre or whatever doesn’t really bother calling after 6pm, so getting a ring at just after 8 in the evening really raised my suspicions. Makes me think BT must be selling these supposedly private numbers to other companies. I'm registered with the TPS too, so it’s really annoying. When I asked the caller who they were, they said they were from TNS SERVICES doing a survey. I pressed them on where they got my number from, but the woman couldn’t give me an answer. I told her the call was being recorded and asked them to take my details off their list, warning that my lawyers would get involved if they didn’t. If you pick up when this number rings, you're basically telling them someone's home, no matter what you say. Same goes for those robocalls that ask you to hit 9 to stop getting "PPI" messages - by doing that, you're just proving the number's live. After that, expect a ton more calls coming your way.
