I got a call and when I rang back, they wanted my name and dob which felt a bit dodgy to me. So I told the caller to give me their name and badge ID so I could check with the Inland Revenue’s main line. Thing is, the bloke sounded Indian but gave a proper English name which just didn’t sit right. Definitely seemed fishy to me.

I usually ignore calls from unknown numbers, so I didn’t bother answering this one. Later, I found a voicemail with a robotic voice saying something about an urgent matter and that I should call back. It was 9:30 on a Saturday, definitely a scam attempt.

Got a call on my phone from this number saying it was the Inland Revenue. Told them to jog on and then reported the whole thing to the police. It's definitely a scam trying to scam people out of cash, so watch out. The police and even Interpol have been informed, and they're looking into it now. Fingers crossed they get caught soon because they're just harassing folks. The bloke on the line had an Indian accent and kept threatening they'd arrest me. If this number rings you, be on your guard!

Received a missed call followed by an automated message, so I called back. The person didn’t say who they were straight away but asked for my full name. When I asked for their identity, they claimed to be from HMRC. I told them I needed to verify before sharing any info, but they seemed quite pushy and kept pressing me if I was happy with that. Their rude tone and odd way of handling the call felt really dodgy to me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC saying I've got some case pending. The funniest thing? It was an automated voice with a thick American accent. Real HMRC always sends you a letter first, they never ring out of the blue like that. If there's a problem, you’re supposed to ring them, not the other way round. Total scam alert! Don’t hand over any info, these lot are just trying it on. I just slammed the phone down and told them where to go!

On the 26th of June around 12:51pm, I got a robo call from 0208187 4189 telling me there was a case opened against me and asking me to ring a number, but I didn’t catch the number. They said the matter was urgent but then the line went dead. Seems like a dodgy scam to me, so I reported it to HMRC.

Got a recorded message supposedly from HMRC saying I had some legal trouble. I rang the number back and talked to a bloke who said his name was "Jacob" - seems like he was probably making that up. He asked for my name and postcode, which I didn't give out, obviously. After that, he started giving me grief and threatening me. Properly frustrating experience.
