I've had four calls from 020 8856 4148, and last night just after midnight, they left a voicemail saying I urgently needed to ring them back. The voice had a London accent and didn't sound very professional - actually, it felt a bit threatening.

So I picked up when 02081874148 rang me, and like some others have said, it was one of those HMRC threats about prosecution if you ignore it. What’s weird is I’d just rung the DWP Pension Service a few mins earlier, right after they’d shut at 3.35pm, cos I got their voicemail with the usual info on their opening hours. Got this weird call at work, someone pretending to be from the police saying I owed £986 and demanding my address and NI number.
