Cheers everyone - I've just switched my phone to silent so those pesty scammers cant bother me - i only pick up calls from people i know but ive been getting loads so had to put it on silent - completely over these dodgy calls - blocked and deleted the number - seriously, phone companies need to get a grip and stop these idiots, the whole country is fed up and needs help!

This guy (he sounded like he was from South Africa or something) kept asking for someone with a super odd name. I told him he’d got the wrong number and he said this person had reached out about investing. Then he asked if I was interested while I was on the phone. I just said thanks but no thanks, told him I’m a millionaire already so don’t really need any extra cash! Then he just hung up on me!

Got really aggressive when I called him out as a scammer. Then he went on to threaten me and my whole family. Really scary.

I received a call purporting to be from BT, claiming my landline and internet were at risk of being cut off in just half an hour due to an unpaid bill. The problem is, I know I had settled my dues, so I quickly ended the call. To my astonishment, I received three more calls making the exact same threats. I decided to report the numbers to BT, who verified that it was indeed a scam. Best to stay vigilant!

Received a call claiming to be from BT, and the person on the other end insisted that both my landline and WiFi were at risk of being disconnected in just thirty minutes due to an unpaid bill. I was quite certain I had settled all my bills, so I promptly ended the conversation. Surprisingly, I then received three more calls with the same alarming message. I decided to report these numbers to BT, as I realised it was all part of a scam.

Got a call from IMS or AMS claiming they’d pay me up to £2500 for injuries from a car accident. Asked which part of the car got damaged. Told them if they have my details, they should already have that info. Then they just ended the call!

Got a call on my mobile but I didn’t pick up, don’t usually take calls from numbers I don’t know. Right after the mobile stopped ringing, my landline went off. I answered and some bloke with an asian accent said my line was going to get cut off, told me to press 1 to stop it. I just hung up straight away. Blocked the number now.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent about a supposed road traffic accident. I asked if it was about compensation, then suddenly the line went dead and a different bloke with a weird accent spoke up. He said there was money waiting for me but they needed to verify some details. I told him to bugger off and threw in a few rude words. I know how to handle this, but some older folks might actually believe them. Total scammers. Watch out!

Classic car crash scam, they start with "we heard you had an accident and can help you get thousands," all that rubbish. I just said, "Good job you called, the police need your company details," then they quickly hung up. We’ve got to put a stop to these scammers, so many folks fall for this trickery. Best to block and report, don’t pick up if you can, and block on your phone. They really should be reported. They must be racking up an enormous phone bill with all these calls, I reckon phone providers ought to block these numbers too. It's just relentless harassment.

Received a dodgy call from a telemarketer purporting to be from an Accident management company - 0208 161 0648. They were inquiring about a car accident that I never had. Since I don't possess a vehicle, it was clearly a scam. They introduced themselves under the names Accident Management Services and Accident Management Database Ltd. Quite the cheek, really!

They said they were from Accident Management Services at first but then switched to Accident Mgt Database Ltd when a second person answered. They claimed their CEO was Mike Stunt. They asked me about a car accident in the past 18 months that’s supposedly on their records. Problem is, I don’t even have a car, so it’s obviously a scam. I made sure to keep the lad on the phone with me for over 5 minutes just to waste his time and their calling quota.
