Some bloke rang up asking for the person who lived here before (who moved out like 15 years ago!) and mentioned a pre-paid funeral plan. I told him that person doesn't live here anymore. Then he asked if I was the "owner of the phone number," and I said no. I told him if he was after someone else's funeral plan, talking to me was pointless. Ended up blocking the number.

A chap called me up inquiring about the previous resident, claiming he had a pre-paid funeral arrangement linked to this number. I informed him that the fellow hadn’t resided here for over fourteen years. He then probed whether the phone was mine now, to which I replied in the negative. I added that if he had a client with a pre-paid plan, he ought to reach out to them directly and not bother with me. Blocked the number after that.

They claimed they were calling about a car accident. I was like, ‘Oh brilliant, cheers for calling! Which one though?’ They said it was from last year. I then said, ‘Which one? I had two last year!’ (I actually didn’t!) Then they said it was about both accidents. I lost it and shouted down the phone, with some choice words, saying I hadn’t had any crashes and I knew it was a total scam. Told them where to shove it and hung up!

Got a call from someone at a call centre who actually knew my maiden name, said they were from AMS (Accident Management Solutions). When I told them it was a load of nonsense and asked them not to phone me again, the person shouted "YOU'RE RUBBISH, YOU'RE RUBBISH!" down the line. Hung up straight away, couldn’t believe the cheek! Definitely a scam, so I’ve blocked the number now.
