What a complete con job! These crooks seem to have access to your address and possibly even a name from your credit card, yet that’s about all they’ve got. I humoured an African-accented chap for what felt like an eternity as he spun his yarn, claiming he was from the City County Court and that I had a legitimate PPI claim against some credit card firm. He even said their certified courier was standing by with a cheque, but only after I forked out £250 on a Paysafe card to him! After he wrapped up his nonsense, I told him he must think I’m daft to hand over that sort of cash to a total stranger for a cheque tied to a non-existent PPI claim. He was adamant it was all above board, but the moment I burst into laughter, he just hung up on me! What a laugh!

Hello there! I've encountered a similar situation as many others have. I found myself £3,100 out of pocket, dealing with a PaySafe card incident and a chap named Paul Martin. Fortunately, this site came to my rescue. I managed to input the number while chatting with him, which led me to promptly cut the conversation short! Much appreciated! Cheers, Mart.

I received a call from this number, and interestingly, it shared all the same details and names as others I’ve encountered. I truly appreciate this verification; it prevented me from pursuing it any further!

I've just received a similar call from that very same number. The moment he became all huffy because I declined to purchase that card, it was obvious something was off, which led me to do a little digging online.

They’ll claim to have a cheque worth around £3000, but then they’ll insist that you fork out £250 as a fee. It’s a complete con!

I just received a rather peculiar phone call myself! I've never encountered anything quite like it. Off to Google I go, and what do you know, yet another scammer rears their ugly head. It seems they're willing to try every trick in the book! 😩

Just like others before me, I’ve had a rather dubious call from a chap named David who claimed I’d been granted £3100.09 by the City of London court. He instructed me to purchase some Paysafe vouchers worth £250.00, assuring me that a certain Paul Martin would deliver the cheque to my doorstep once I’d complied. I can confirm, this is definitely a scam! They might seem to know everything about you, but don’t fall for it!

I received a rather peculiar phone call from an individual sporting a notably thick Indian accent, claiming to be named Mark. He informed me that my PPI claim had been successful, citing not only my address but also the details of my application from a couple of years back, as well as the name of my building society - which, I might add, had previously turned me down. He then proceeded to request that I purchase £250 worth of PaySafe vouchers, asserting that a chap named Paul Martin would be delivering my cheque. I promptly declined, stating that I'd prefer to hold the actual cheque in hand, fully cleared through my bank, before parting with any cash. This seemed to irk him a bit, as he threatened to close my case, whatever that means. Interestingly, I recorded his voice on my answerphone, along with a "help" number they provided (02081444225). Quite the ordeal, wouldn't you say?

I had an unexpected call from a chap claiming to be Peter Parker - yes, the famed Spiderman! His English was terrible, and he insisted that I purchase a Paysafe card with a whopping £250 in order to receive a hand-delivered cheque for £3100. Instantly suspicious, I took to Google and discovered that others had reported similar calls from this number. Just about an hour later, I received yet another call from a bloke with even poorer English, who identified himself as Carl Martin. He was all too eager to ask for the number on the fake Paysafe card that I pretended to have. When I confronted him, even suggesting that he look up his "company" number online, he had the gall to claim that a rival business was attempting to tarnish their reputation by posting negative feedback. These scammers are astonishingly bold and convincing in their deceit, and I can honestly see how some unsuspecting folks might fall prey to their tricks. Stay vigilant, everyone!

I just had a call from this number, and it was an Indian gentleman claiming to be Paul Simon! He mentioned something about the City of London court and that I was eligible for a refund on mis-sold PPI. Do these people really assume we're gullible? I did a quick search on the number straight away.

I received a call earlier today from an Asian gentleman who identified himself as 'Scott Rogers', claiming to represent the City County Court in London. He mentioned that a certain Mr. Paul Martin would be delivering a cheque for £3100 to me, but first, I would need to acquire a 'PaySafe card' worth £250 from the Co-op as their commission. He even provided a reference number! Instinctively, I sensed something was amiss. So, I turned to Google and stumbled upon this website! PLEASE, for your own safety, do not engage or make any payments related to this scam!
