Got a ring on my work phone from a guy with that familiar Indian accent, starting with “how are you, ma’am?”. He mentioned he was from something called RMS Finance and wanted to talk to the person who runs the business. I told him straight away, “no sales calls please.” Pretty obvious it was one of those dodgy calls trying to push a loan or some sort of scam. Definitely a scammer, no doubt about it.

Some woman rang me from this number sayin she’d stay a night if i gave her 500 quid. At first i said no, but then she sent me pictures and honestly she was stunning. Someone rang me asking for the mobile linked to my Eon account. I requested his callback number, and he gave me this number, saying his extension was 128. The name he gave was Arman. Seems like a scam, maybe they want to grab your details and pass them on to other firms. Definitely don’t share any personal or work info with them. I reckon if you do, they could probably mess with your current utility deal or cause headaches.

Got a call from a man with a Pakistani accent saying he was from British Gas, then another bloke saying he's from National Grid asking for my billing info and meter readings. I checked with British Gas and they said they had no idea about it. Both were really rude, pushy and wouldn't take no for an answer! We've been bombarded with numerous calls from this supposed energy company. They claimed to be our current supplier and promised to lower our expensive bill. However, they kept demanding our bank information and wouldn't cease their incessant calls. One evening, a chap named Ali from the company phoned and got into an argument with one of our employees. Over the last couple of days we've been bombarded with roughly 50 annoying calls from this number and it’s like they don’t understand we’re not interested. They say they’re from SSE Energy. I’ve never shared any personal info with them of course. A rather rude bloke with an accent, called himself Arman, kept ringing. I rang SSE myself and they said there’s no record of any calls to us, and to definitely keep our details private. You can see how folks fall for this given how believable it sounded. He even threatened to disconnect our electricity.

Some guy named Arayan phoned saying he was from Total Gas and Power, asking for the business owner. I told him he wasn't in. This Indian bloke was really pushy, insisting we’d been overcharged on our gas. I asked for his name and number and said I'd ring Total Gas and Power myself. I told him a business owner wouldn't always be about, and there’s usually managers and staff dealing with day to day stuff. I even warned him he’d have to try harder to scam me ‘cos I’d already checked his number while on the call and read loads of these comments about him! Lol.

Some bloke said he was Jordan Beddingly from OFGEM. Somehow he got my landline and name even tho OFGEM only has my mobile number. He was going on about my meter being outdated and wanting to fit a new one. This sounds just like a scam call I got from 0208 1237 17514, the only one that managed to get info about OFGEM. I’m convinced 0208 1446 514 and 0208 123 7514 are connected ’cause they called me within half an hour of each other using the exact same story. Never ever give your bank details or DOB. I always tell them, “that info should be in your system already.”

I received a rather pressing call earlier, where the chap on the other end-identified himself as Kamran-was quite adamant about speaking to the business owner. When I informed him that the owner wasn’t in at the moment, he insisted it was a matter of urgency. Absolutely shocking experience! I urge everyone to steer clear of these charlatans. They pretended to represent Opus Energy and were relentless in demanding my banking information. When I firmly said no, the chap named ‘Waleed’ became quite aggressive and insisted on my mobile number as well. I stood my ground and fired back a few choice words, and suddenly he was full of insincere compliments, claiming he simply wanted to assist me. How strange! I quickly decided to terminate the call. I received a rather dubious call from a chap yesterday, claiming to be from the government’s gas and electricity department or something of the sort. Right from the off, I was on high alert; I struggled to grasp what he was saying. He then proceeded to tell me we were supposedly paying too much for our business utilities and that he’d arrange a refund of over £900. When he inquired about our electricity provider, I replied, “Well, I would assume you’d already know that if you were being truthful.” He insisted he needed to confirm our details. I asked for a contact number, and he provided one with an extension of 120, identifying himself as Kevin Roland… really? I refused to divulge any information, except for a stern lecture after he began to raise his voice and act rather impudently. He cut the call short. Just two minutes later, he rang back again, so I had a colleague answer. She mentioned that I had left for the day, and he promptly hung up on her too! Be cautious! I'm absolutely inundated with calls from this number, sometimes even getting two in a day at my workplace! The background noise is unbearable, and this chap is practically bellowing down the phone. My manager asked me to jot down a contact number for gas or electricity providers, as they're contemplating a switch, but trying to get that info was laughable. The fellow on the other end simply didn’t grasp my request and just kept going in circles, repeating himself ad nauseam.
