Instead, they started yelling at me, saying it’s not my place since I’m just renting and kept pushing for my landlord’s contact. I had to raise my voice back and told them to delete my number for good and stop calling. They kept going on about being from some government agency and that my walls and boiler were in a terrible condition!

Got a call from a guy with a strong Asian accent saying he was from National Grid. He said he wanted to book a new meter installation for me and then said he'd put me through to his manager to share the meter's serial number. I wasn't convinced and questioned him about it. He claimed the meter was outdated and that I was paying too much. Oddly, he gave me a completely wrong name for my business. We operate a few businesses here, and the one he mentioned definitely doesn't have any energy bills. Seemed fishy to me.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent today. He wanted to talk to the owner. I asked what he needed since I knew it was an unsolicited call. Then he just said some nonsense like "[email protected]@k You" and immediately hung up. Seriously rude and totally unacceptable. Why do these sorts of calls still happen, and why is nothing done to stop them? They really should be slapped with harsh fines by now.

I had a rather pushy chap ring me up, insisting that I’m the proprietor of a certain business, which he oddly didn’t even know the name of. He claimed to be representing Scottish Energy and kept stressing the need to switch my electricity supplier. No matter how many times I said 'not interested', he just wouldn't let it go! Quite irritating, really.

This bloke from India kept ringing my shop, saying he was from EON. When I told him to jog on, he got all aggressive. The cheeky git even went as far as pretending to be my landlord to cancel my EON account! Then he tried calling back, pretending he was with EON to get me to set it up again. I seriously advise anyone to get in touch with their energy supplier and set up a password right away. These people are relentless, don't take no for an answer, and act like you're the fool if you say no. Once I told them I had a password, they just gave up and haven't tried ringing me since.

So, it seems I had a rather frustrating encounter with this so-called "electricity" company. They insisted on obtaining my meter readings to ensure I’m getting the most competitive rates. I found it quite baffling seeing as I have a smart meter, which should allow them to access that info directly! Still, they proceeded to inquire about my current electric bill, which was a bit rich considering I haven't the foggiest idea what I’m paying-since we use a broker, you see.
