Turns out, there’s actually more to it - they want me to go down to a Western Union, pick up a mystery form (no form number, not just sent automatically), fill it out, and then hand over £300 which I’d get a receipt for. After that, I have to ring them back with the receipt details before they supposedly send the cheque.
