Just like everyone else is saying, it’s that old PPI scam. They try the same thing, asking for a cash safe voucher to get your PPI payout. Told them to buzz off immediately.

Had a voicemail from an Indian guy calling himself Mark; he said there was a cheque in my (maiden) name from a Nationwide Building Society PPI claim waiting for me. Since I once did make a PPI claim with Nationwide, I was almost about to ring him back, but after seeing these reviews, I decided not to risk it. Really glad I didn’t end up calling him back!

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying I was owed £2750 because my bank missold me PPI. He knew my full name, where I live, and which bank I use. He said the cheque would arrive tomorrow but I needed to pay a £275 courier fee upfront. How on earth did he find out all my info? Feels dodgy as hell.

SCAM ALERT, Just like the others mentioned, this sounds like one of those suspicious PPI claim calls. Ended it quickly and put the phone down.

Received a call earlier today from someone claiming I was owed £2758.00 from Claimline. They said I needed to cough up £275.00 first to cover postage before they could send the cheque. The bloke even knew my date of birth and some old claims info. Asked him to email the details, but he claimed everything was in the packet the courier would bring. Total scam, no doubt about it.

This number called me recently, some bloke with an Indian accent said he was from a claims company about PPI. Claimed I’d used their services back in 2015 and even had my previous address on file. He mentioned a cheque for more than £3000 waiting for me, which seemed a bit suspicious. I told him if it was legit, to just send the cheque through the post and ended the call. Haven’t heard anything since. Still a bit uneasy about how they got hold of my old address though.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent who said his name was ???. Claimed he was ringing about a PPI compensation and that there was a cheque ready for me. Said he was from Brittania Building Society/PPI Claimline and would send someone to deliver the cheque by courier! Obviously, I wasn’t convinced. He knew my name and my address, which is a bit weird - no clue where he got that info from. Feels really dodgy to me. Is this some kind of scam? Would be good to hear if anyone else has had something similar.

A guy with an Indian accent called me, said his name was Paul Simon, claiming there was a cheque ready for me from a PPI refund. He mentioned he was ringing from PPI CLAIMLINE and told me I had to purchase a £300 voucher before a courier would bring the cheque to my house. Of course, I didn’t fall for it. Creepiest bit was he already had my full name and address, and I don’t know how he got those details. I've alerted the authentic PPI CLAIMLINE about this. Total con job. Definitely a scam!
