Absolutely echoes what others have said-pure PPI SCAM! It's the same old tale, asking for a cash safe voucher in return for a PPI refund cheque. Just tell them to bugger off!

I received a message on my voicemail from an Indian chap named Mark, who claimed he had a cheque in my maiden name stemming from a PPI claim with the Nationwide Building Society. He asked me to ring him back on the number he provided. Given that I had indeed lodged a PPI claim with them in the past, I initially thought it might be legitimate. However, after reading some concerning reports, I've decided against returning the call. I'm grateful I did my homework before reaching out!

An Indian gentleman reached out, asserting that he possessed a cheque relating to a mis-sold PPI from my bank. Strangely, he knew my full name, my address, and the specific bank I use. He mentioned that a cheque for the sum of £2750 would be arriving the next day, but I needed to provide a courier voucher worth £275 first. It's quite unsettling-how on earth did he acquire my personal information?

It's a total scam! I've encountered some rather sketchy PPI payment procedures. I’ve cut off communication entirely.

Today, I received a rather dubious message claiming that I had a cheque for £2,758.00 waiting for me from Claimline. They wanted me to cough up £275.00 for the ‘privilege’ of having this cheque sent out! The caller seemed to have my date of birth and details of past claims, which only added to my suspicion. When I requested that he send the details via email, he insisted that everything I needed was supposedly in the ‘pack’ that would be delivered by courier. It absolutely screams SCAM!

I received a call from this number earlier today. An Indian gentleman on the line claimed to be from Claims Line regarding PPI and mentioned that I had supposedly contacted them back in 2015. He even had my previous address, which I found rather unsettling. He went on to say that there was a cheque for over £3000 waiting for me. It all sounded rather suspicious to me. I mentioned that if he was legitimate, he should just send the cheque through the post, and promptly hung up. I haven't received any further communication since then. I'm quite concerned about how he came to possess my address in the first place.

A gentleman with an Indian accent introduced himself as ??? during our conversation, claiming he was ringing me regarding a cheque linked to a payment protection insurance (PPI) claim I supposedly made. He mentioned he was representing the Brittania Building Society and a service named PPI CLAIMLINE. Quite extraordinary, he even put forth the bizarre proposition of dispatching a courier to hand over this cheque! Of course, I remained sceptical and didn’t engage in any transactions. What alarmed me was the fact that he had both my name and address! It’s rather perplexing where he gleaned this information from. Others seem to share similar experiences. There’s definitely something fishy about all of this. Is it possible that this is a scam? I’d sincerely appreciate any insights on this matter.

Had a rather dubious call from a bloke claiming to be Paul Simon, apparently from some place called PPI CLAIMLINE. He went on about having a cheque ready for my PPI claim, which sounded all too convenient. The kicker? He insisted I purchase a voucher for £300 first, promising a courier would swing by with the cheque right after. Obviously, I didn't fall for it! It was quite alarming that he had my full name and address-no clue how he managed that! I've gone ahead and reported this to the actual PPI CLAIMLINE. Definitely fishy. A complete scam, if you ask me!
