I got a robocall from 0116 786 6306 warning me that my Virgin broadband would be disconnected soon due to some dangerous internet activity. It told me to press 1 to speak to someone, so I did. Then, a bloke with an Indian accent came on and kept repeating about the “malicious use” thing. He asked me to give him my CL security ID, which made me a bit wary. I asked for his name and phone number to check with Virgin Media directly. Turns out, the details he gave - David Rogers, 0208 1444 527 - were fake. Definitely a scam call.

I got a call from someone claiming they were from BT about some special broadband offers. I mentioned I’d already been chatting with BT earlier that day about a broadband account, and as soon as I said that, the bloke just hung up on me. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from BT, warning me that my internet was under attack. They managed to access my computer and, regrettably, I ended up being scammed out of my bank details.

Somebody called me claiming to be from Skype broadband, saying there was some dodgy activity and they'd have to shut the network down. They said they’re ringing all their customers to give them a heads up. When I asked for their contact number, they told me it was 02081444527.
