I've put the number on block since I’m not in the mood for their nonsense today, but maybe when I’ve got a bit of time, I might call back just for a laugh!

This number appears to be completely bogus, claiming to be from HMRC and stating that there's a warrant out for my arrest for tax fraud, along with two other serious allegations. They mentioned that I should find a solicitor as it's a grave matter, threatening my family home and insisting they were monitoring my every movement! The chap on the other end was absolutely shouting at me. I've always employed an accountant and settled my dues, yet he insisted my accountant was tampering with my financial records! He even had the audacity to provide me with a reference for my supposed court case. I reached out to my accountant and HMRC, only to discover I'm actually £5.45 in credit! How is it possible for these criminals to harass innocent people like this without facing any repercussions?

It’s really disappointing that folks waste their time with this kind of nonsense. They’d be better off finding proper jobs that actually contribute something. This was just like the other calls I got. They left a voicemail saying I had to ring back or else there’d be a warrant for my arrest. The name given was Linda White, apparently the person to get in touch with. Honestly, this kind of thing shouldn’t be happening! It’s totally wrong to frighten folks like that. I’m so relieved I looked up this number here because I nearly had a panic attack! I get bad anxiety and the voicemail said something about Linda White from HMRC, saying I’m involved in tax evasion and fraud investigations. I got a call from someone named Mark Davis who spoke with a heavy Indian accent. He said there was a lawsuit against me for tax fraud and avoiding taxes. He demanded £4998 or said I'd be facing a £50,000 fine and five years in jail. It really freaked me out, and before I knew it, they just ended the call. I regret ever calling back that number. Felt so scared and stressed.

She was going on about tax evasion and court action if I didn't respond, all very threatening. But funny thing is, I actually received a tax refund from the real HMRC recently, so this has got to be a scam. Best to just ignore these calls and block the number straight away.

He wouldn’t explain much, just kept pushing about needing a criminal lawyer. I ended up hanging up and looked up the number, turns out it’s a scam. Proper worried me for a bit. Seriously, don’t call them back!

When I rang back, an American bloke answered and spoke so quickly I could barely catch what he was saying. I asked for the name of his company again and he just hung up on me.
