This guy named Ramen, sounded Indian, phoned me about four times. Each time he said he was from a different brokerage firm but all supposedly linked to BES, some utility provider. He pressured me to verify my info before sending the gas and electric contract. Total scam, just trying to steal your data. I never gave him anything, but he kept ringing me all day long.

Pronto Fast Services called me with some automated voice that tried real hard to act like a person talking. The lady mentioned they knew about a crash I supposedly had that wasn’t my fault. Honestly, the only accident here might be me throwing these scammers off a cliff. How do these companies still get to run like this? I’ve already flagged the number to the ICO straight away.

Got a call from an Indian guy who said I was involved in an accident back in 2013 and he needed to settle the matter. He knew my full name, my wife’s name and even where we live. He told me he’d wait while I checked the exact date of the accident to wrap things up. Claimed he was from a solicitor’s office and was teamed up with the Metropolitan police. I ended the call but he ended up ringing me 4 times in quick succession.

Just got a call from these lot. "Good afternoon, am I speaking to Mrs X X? This is Jackson's Solicitors regarding your car accident." I asked, "How do you even know I have a car?" He said, "I didn’t say you have a car, you were a passenger in a car crash." (I haven't been in any accident for well over ten years.) He was really pushy and kept the line open for ages before hanging up. It's pretty scary that they have my name (even though I never go by Mrs) and my phone number. I really don’t see what they hope to gain from this.

I got a call from an Asian person claiming to be from Jacksons Solicitors in London regarding "my car accident". Problem is, I never had an accident. This week alone, I've had about 6 calls like this. It's getting out of hand. I didn’t pay much attention to the number, but they definitely said it was Jacksons Solicitors.

It was the same person claiming to be from Jacksons solicitors. They gave us this number but the call definitely didn’t come from it. They didn't seem too happy when we said we might report it to the police, especially since one of us is actually a lawyer! Surely everyone knows lawyers rarely work on a Saturday night!

This has been happening for a few years now - today it was some bloke called David Bone from Jackson Solicitors. He claimed to be at 179 Garretts Lane, Wandsworth, which is actually where an Indian takeaway called 'Mumbai to Go' is located. They keep saying it’s about an accident from a year ago, supposedly from the road traffic accident database. Hoping the new BT service, once it’s up and running, will sort these annoying calls out.

Got a bloke with an Indian accent blowin' up my phone 9 times in about 5 minutes. At first, he was asking to chat with someone involved in a car crash, which never happened. Then for the next few calls, he just stayed quiet, no words at all. After I started typing this, got two more calls I let go to voicemail, and the message was in some other language I couldn't understand. Today’s a bank holiday Monday and honestly, it's proper annoying. Does anyone know a way to get them to stop harassin' me?

Received a call just a moment ago inquiring if I had gotten a letter about my recent vehicle mishap. The person on the line said he was from "Jacksons Solicitors." Got a call from 02081238819 at about 2:20pm on Saturday the 13th of August, and it was quite a bother. Some bloke with a weird accent was on the line, but his words were mumbled and there was loads of noise in the background. He went on about me being involved in some car crash, which is absolute bollocks. It's clearly a scam, no doubt about it. These scammers need to be locked up. I don’t get why the authorities aren’t doing more to put an end to this rubbish!

This number keeps calling me nonstop. A person with an Asian accent says they’re from Jackson's Solicitors and tells me I’ve been in an accident. I’ve told them over and over I haven’t had any accident, but they just keep pushing me and arguing. I asked them to stop phoning me, yet they still ring every day, sometimes even three or four calls in one day. It’s really annoying and I have no clue how they got hold of my number.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent, talking about some accident he claimed I had before. When I questioned him, he said I must have rung him and he was just returning the call. I told him I never called, then he said maybe my wife did. I asked for his details so I could report him to the police, and then he threatened to come round to my house. I told him if he showed up, the police would be waiting. Hopefully he isn’t aware of where I live, so it doesn’t turn into anything worse. I want to report these people to the proper authorities. I received yet another call from a firm calling themselves "Jacksons", supposedly located on Garratt’s Lane in Wandsworth. They were harping on about a car accident that I can assure you never happened to me. The individual claimed his name was Michael Turner, but his accent hinted at Indian or Asian origins. I was rather curious about where he was sourcing this dubious information from, as it seemed rather fishy. The conversation ended rather abruptly after I inquired about their solicitor's registration number. The caller identified the firm as "Jacksons Solicitors." Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Absolutely appalled by this phone number harassing my elderly mother! They keep insisting that my late father, who passed away four years ago, is eligible for some sort of compensation from a car accident. How on earth can they justify this nonsense? Around 10 this morning, I got a call from a man speaking with an Indian accent. Him: Hello Mrs A, how are you doing today? [I never go by Mrs, so right away I knew it was another dodgy call] Me: Who's this? Him: I’m Jason from a solicitor’s firm. Just a courtesy call. Did you get any letter about that accident? Some chap rang me, asking for me by my name. I asked who it was but couldn’t quite make out the name, sounded like he was Indian. He asked if I’d got a letter about being responsible for an accident. The moment I recognised the number 02081238819, I recalled that it was one I’d dealt with before and had previously requested not to be contacted again. I kindly asked them to refrain from calling, but the chap on the other end insisted I wasn't paying attention. I informed him that my lack of interest in whatever he was selling was precisely why I wasn't listening. Remarkably, he continued to disregard my request. I made it clear that I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service, and that their unsolicited call was unlawful, to which he claimed I wasn’t on the list-when I knew for a fact that I was. I mentioned I would record any future calls, and urged him to remove my number from their database. He outright refused, saying it was because I wasn’t cooperating! He even had the audacity to assert that I was on some “approved” list and then claimed I’d been in a car accident. I had to inform him that I don’t own a car, and in truth, I can’t drive at all. He dismissed my comments, stating he wouldn’t take my number off his list due to my supposed lack of cooperation. This is exactly why I’m reporting this particular call. I’ve received numerous calls despite being on the TPS, but this caller was insufferably arrogant, blatantly ignoring my legal requests and attempting to intimidate me into engaging with their services. It was unsettling to ponder how they might have behaved towards someone elderly or less aware of their rights-they could have really ramped up the intimidation. It’s alarming how utterly dismissive he was of my words. This company, and particularly this individual, needs to be dealt with. I only noted that he was of Asian descent, possibly Indian. I truly hope we can put an end to this sort of misconduct.

Upon recognising the number 02081238819, I quickly realised it was one I had encountered previously and had requested not to be contacted by again. I courteously asked the caller to refrain from ringing me, to which he responded with, “you’re not listening to me.” My reply was that I wasn’t interested in whatever he was peddling. Nonetheless, he continued to ignore my request. I reminded him that I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, making this unsolicited call illegal, to which he bizarrely claimed I wasn’t on their list. I knew full well I was. I then mentioned I’d record our conversation if he decided to call again, and requested once more that he remove my number from his database. His response was a curt refusal, insisting that he wouldn’t comply since I wasn’t “cooperating.” He asserted that I was on some “approved” list and even concocted a story about my supposedly having been in a car accident. When I clarified, stating I don’t drive and have no vehicle, he outright denied my words and insisted that I wouldn’t be removed from his list due to my lack of cooperation. This is why I felt compelled to report this particular incident. Despite numerous similar calls while being enrolled with the TPS, this particular caller was exceptionally rude, blatantly dismissing my legal requests and attempting to intimidate me into accepting their offerings. I couldn’t help but think of how an elderly individual or someone unfamiliar with their rights might fare in a similar situation-what further lengths might he have gone to in his bullying tactics? It was alarming how little regard he showed for my words and feelings. This company, particularly this individual, needs to be held accountable. For the record, he seemed to be of Asian descent, possibly Indian. I sincerely hope we can put an end to this dubious operation.

Got a call from an Asian guy claiming to be Jason Clark, said he was with aaw firm about a car crash. I asked for the law firm's info, he said Jackson law firm in Wandsworth. Told him I had no idea about any accident, so I searched online and found no law firm by that name. Some guy called me called Steven about a car crash, said he was from a solicitor firm. He seemed quite decent, I liked how he handled things and now he’s looking after my case.

I suspect these particulars might be linked to TALK TALK. Is there anyone in this forum who happens to have a residential line with TalkTalk?

I reckon these numbers might be linked to TALK TALK. Is there anyone here with a talktalk home phone line?

I received a peculiar call at my dad's place this morning, which I haven't called home since '95. The chap claimed to be my solicitor, but that's not the case at all. He left a few details that raised an eyebrow. My dad shot me an email regarding it: "Had a rather odd call from a Mr Thomas earlier today. He was after you, insisting he was your solicitor. I quizzed him on his identity, and he provided his name, along with an address and phone number, which I'll relay to you. He requested that you return his call, though I didn't assure him you would. I suggested he send you a letter instead, but he seemed hesitant on that front. Here’s what I noted: Jackson's Solicitors 179 Tarratts (? or was it Garratt?) Lane, Wandsford Worth, London SW18 7KJ 020 8123 8819 *Could've misinterpreted the street name, but I stumbled upon a restaurant that seems to match."

Received a call from 0208 123 8819 earlier today. They were asking about some documents regarding a car accident I was involved in. Absolute scammers, I tell you! Best to steer clear of them.

Received a call from someone who supposedly represented solicitors regarding a car incident, and they seemed to know my name. When I asked whether it was my car or my husband’s they insisted it was mine, despite me stating I don’t drive. They then tried some line about being married means it’s mine as well. The caller mentioned they would drop by my place, but I decided it was best to end the conversation there.

It’s the same info again. When I asked which national law firm, they said Silver and Kramer, and when I spelled it out they said yes that's right. Sounds like the “Silver Crime” stuff that was reported before. Everything’s pretty much the same as back in April (and it’s now October). The postcode was something like sw18 6dj or maybe 6bj?

I keep receiving annoying calls from someone purporting to be a solicitor regarding car accidents, but they refuse to provide any written confirmation or specifics. Seems rather dodgy to me - definitely a scam!

Since I got my phone, this number keeps ringing me every single day, sometimes several times a day. They claim I was in an accident within the past two years and keep pressing me to share my husband's number and other private info. Obviously, I didnt share anything. When I asked for their contact details, they were super dodgy about it. After looking it up, I found all this info. The caller had an Indian accent and said his name was Michael Bruce.

A chap rang me up claiming he had my address and threatened to pop over to my place to 'prove' his legitimacy. I must admit, it's left me feeling rather unnerved.

Got a call today from someone who sounded just like this John Merrick bloke mentioned in the post from 10/04/2015. He was asking if I’d received a solicitor’s letter about some car accident I’m supposed to have been involved in. I made it clear I hadn’t had any accident and told him to stop bothering me before hanging up. This needs to stop, seriously. I’m signed up with the TPS, and it used to work but now it’s pointless. The government really needs to step up and sort this out.

Received a call from that number, and I can assure you, it’s definitely a scammer! Please, for your own sake, don’t engage with them if they ring you! I believe they're from India, so it's best to just hang up the phone immediately. Stay safe, everyone!

Had a dodgy call from someone purporting to represent the National Solicitor’s Firm. They were jabbering on about an accident claim, which I can assure you I've never made. The chap on the line had a thick Indian accent, and it just didn’t sit right with me. Be wary of these sorts of calls!

I got a call from a firm saying they were “Silver Crime” about an accident supposedly linked to me in the past couple of years, which I never had. The guy said his name was John Merry and gave an address at 179 Garratt Lane, Wandsworth, London - turns out that’s actually a takeaway called Mumbai 2 Go. Feels like a total scam to me!

Received a call from someone with a strong foreign accent claiming to be a solicitor regarding an incident from 2012! The moment I asked for more information, they abruptly hung up. Seems quite dodgy to me!
