Phone number ☎️ 02081237353 👆 is reported as a persistent and well-organised scam masquerading as calls from the Ministry of Justice, claiming victims are owed compensation for PPI or bank overcharges. Callers often use English aliases and pressure individuals to purchase UKASH vouchers as a supposed tax payment before receiving a cheque. The Ministry of Justice confirms they do not make such calls, and banks would not demand upfront payments or tax in this manner. Victims report aggressive follow-up calls, requests for personal information, and threats or rude behaviour when challenged. This scam has led to financial losses and is actively investigated by police and Action Fraud. Recipients are strongly advised not to engage, never disclose voucher codes, and report any suspicious contact immediately.

i got a call from a guy with an asian accent who said he was nigel cole from the ministry of justice. he claimed i was entitled to £2500 from the government for some ppi thing. sounded fishy to me, pretty sure it’s a scam. if you receive a call like this, try to gather as many details as possible and report it to action fraud. they said they’re treating these cases seriously. i went ahead and gave my statement earlier, but the more people report, the better chances they catch them.

This morning I received a call from this number, someone claiming to be Nigel Cole saying they were from the Ministry of Justice and wanted to refund me for overpaid bank fees. It sounded off straight away because surely the Ministry of Justice wouldn’t be calling people to give out compensation like that. I pushed back and asked for their email and office location, but they refused to share any details, saying it was for security reasons. Definitely a scam. They didn’t even get around to mentioning vouchers, but I reckon that was their next move. Watch out, folks!

Beware of the PPI scam conducted by MOJ. They approach individuals and request them to buy cash vouchers in exchange for a certain amount, typically £XXXX, related to their mis-sold PPI. Stay vigilant and avoid falling victim to this fraudulent scheme.

Today, I received a call from someone claiming to be "Neil" from the Ministry of Justice. It seems they have a low opinion of everyone's intelligence. As others have also reported, they said I am owed £2200 in bank fines. They requested that I buy U Kash vouchers worth £220 to cover the tax. However, I pointed out that if the refund is issued by the government or through other official means, tax would automatically be deducted at source. In response, Neil said he would consult his supervisor to explain the situation further. Nevertheless, I decided to end the call at that point. Afterwards, I received five consecutive calls from them, but I chose to ignore them. Initially, I had proposed that they drop a cheque for £2200 and once it cleared, I would send them the £220 requested. However, unsurprisingly, they did not agree to this idea. I wonder why!

I responded, but I could hear voices in the background. However, nobody spoke and then the line disconnected.

There's this fellow by the name of Colin Brown who keeps calling me relentlessly. He claims that I am owed £4,200 from a PPI claim and insists that I need to purchase £240 worth of UKash vouchers to pay HMRC. It's rather puzzling, as I have questioned the validity of this transaction multiple times, but he remains steadfast in his claims and even goes on to provide me with an address from the MOJ (Petty France in Westminster). I can't help but wonder how he manages to afford all these phone calls. Oh well, he's set to call me back at 5pm today. Once I've checked his details, it'll be clear that this man is quite foolish.

Just a heads up, Dominic Paul tries to get you to pay with those UKash vouchers you have to buy first. They claim they’re from the Ministry of Justice, but don’t believe a word they say. Best to avoid dealing with them altogether.

I received a call from Dominic Paul at the Ministry of Justice, stating that I am eligible for a refund from a voucher called UKCASH. However, I had to make a payment for it. Please be cautious as this seems to be a scam.

Earlier today, the Ministry of Justice gave me a call. Skeptical of their claim, I promptly informed them that I have never owned any bank accounts. They accused me of being dishonest and ended the conversation by remarking, "I hope you have an awful day - it's Friday the 13th." Surprisingly, their remark brought a smile to my face.

I received a call from a persistent gentleman named Nigel Cole, who claimed to be from the Ministry of Justice. He informed me that Lloyds TSB owed my wife £2700. According to him, all we had to do was buy 3 UKASH vouchers worth a total of £270. We were then supposed to deposit this money into our bank account, along with a cheque for £2700 that would be given to us by a local "solicitor." It sounded like a nonsense story! The truth is, my wife has never taken out a loan in her name. This is clearly a fraudulent scheme.

Got phone calls from this number like 5 times in one day. Some bloke called Jim Taylor was on the line, trying to get me to buy a Ukash voucher from a nearby shop or something. I just stopped answering after a bit and decided to look him up here. Proper thankful for this site, really saved me from a dodgy situation!

Today, my mother has had the unfortunate experience of being repeatedly bothered by a particular phone number. Within a span of only an hour or so, she received three calls from someone claiming to be a certain "Jim Taylor" from the "Government department." This individual informed her that she is owed £2200 and provided an address at 102 Petty France Westminster. Luckily, after reading your valuable information on scams, I promptly reported the incident to Action Fraud, who are currently handling the situation.

This is definitely a scam. Today, I decided to contact the Ministry of Justice to verify whether a person named "Michael Cooper" was affiliated with their organization. To my surprise, they had no record of him and informed me that their department was being exploited as part of the scam. "Michael" has been persistently calling me, each time claiming that the amount of compensation has increased. Currently, he states it stands at £10,000. It is likely that they are operating from outside the UK, possibly in India. I have already reported this matter to the police, and they are conducting an investigation.

Some close mates of mine recently got ripped off for £750 by these scammers. They were so smooth and convincing. Never, ever get involved in any chat with them. And don’t even think about handing over those voucher codes. Make sure you tell the cops and your local trading standards folks. To the scammers reading this - beware, you won’t slip away with this!

Before Christmas, my grandmother fell victim to a scam. The scammers managed to deceive her and took £240 from her. Unbelievably, right after receiving the payment, they claimed she was entitled to even more money and demanded an additional £200 in taxes. Fortunately, my savvy nan caught on to their deceitful tactics. She declared she didn't have the funds and promptly reported the incident to the police. Now, these fraudsters are being investigated by the authorities.

I just had a phone call from this number about 10 minutes ago. While I was on the call, I quickly looked up the phone number. After reading some messages related to it, I informed a person named Neil Cole that I would like my bank to directly transfer the funds and then ended the call. But when he called back, I didn't answer. Hopefully, he understood that I am not interested in continuing the conversation.

Got a call from this number as well, and I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. Don’t fall for their clever tricks. If the bank owed you anything, they wouldn’t be calling you from the Ministry of Justice, plus any tax should already be deducted before you get paid. Stay safe, folks!

I have reported this scammer to Action Fraud not once, but twice. He is a persistent and tenacious individual who refuses to take no for an answer. It is important not to be deceived by him, even though he may seem very convincing. Despite being Asian, he will most likely use an English name to maintain an appearance of legitimacy. However, there are certain points you should keep in mind regarding this scam. Contrary to what he may insist, the Ministry of Justice does not make phone calls to notify individuals of any owed money. If you have incurred excessive bank charges, your bank will be the one to reach out to you, rather than the Ministry of Justice. Normally, banks do not charge any additional fees for direct debits unless it is a business account. Furthermore, this scammer claims that you must pay a 10% tax on a supposed cheque. It is important to note that any money deposited into your account will already be subject to taxation at the source.

Every day, he persistently calls, claiming to be from the Ministry of Justice with news that I am entitled to £2000. However, he insists that I must pay 10% in taxes. I desperately want it to be true, but deep down I know it's just a fraudulent scheme. I advise everyone to keep their distance from this.

I received a phone call from a person claiming to be "James," although he didn't sound anything like James. He insisted that he was calling from the Ministry of Justice office. To confirm his claim, I asked for the office address, and he provided 102 Petty France as the address. According to James, a "solicitor" would be sent to my house to deliver a £2,600 refund for bank charges that I supposedly incurred. I promptly declined his offer and told him to deposit the cheque into his own account. Additionally, I warned him that if any solicitor showed up at my doorstep, the police would greet them. This seemed to alarm James, who hastily wished me a good day before hanging up the phone!
