I received a call from this number but they didn’t bother to leave a message. Strangely enough, it rang three times without anyone saying a word, and the same thing happened with a couple of other numbers earlier. Quite odd, isn’t it?

So this number rang me earlier, and the person on the other end actually knew my name and where I live. They asked if I was still at that address. I told them I wasn’t about to share any details with a stranger on the phone, and after that, they just said alright and hung up!

Over the past few days, this number has rung me a couple of times but I haven't picked up. They didn’t bother leaving any voicemail or anything either.

Got a call from "Reactiv Media" saying I might be owed some PPI from nearly a decade ago. Did a bit of digging and saw they've been reported to the Direct Marketing Commission back in April 2012, plus the Telephone Preference Service. If you've got some free time, definitely think about reaching out to those organisations to make a complaint.

Just got a call from this number a moment ago. When I picked up, there was nothing but silence, then an automated voice popped up saying "thanks for waiting, we'll connect you to an agent" before the call instantly dropped. Normally I don’t pick up unknown numbers but was actually waiting to hear from someone today. I’ve now blocked it via my phone’s auto-block feature.

This number just popped up on my phone. A woman, sounded completely sure of herself, said she was Abby from some Consumer Helpline. She mentioned my postcode, but asked me for my house number after that. Then she claimed I owed money from ages ago, like 2009, and asked me to name some credit I'd taken out so she could verify who I was. I felt a bit iffy, so I told her I'd never had credit before. She acted like she couldn’t believe it and asked if I had a car or any household loans or something. When I said no again, she just said goodbye and ended the call.

This number keeps ringing me mostly during my work hours. So today I thought I'd ring back. The voicemail said something about Discover Finance and that their offices are shut now. Wow, so disrespectful! I asked who was calling and to take me off their list, but this bloke just kept shouting over me. He went on about some money I supposedly owed from 2009, saying stuff like, "What’s wrong with you? I’m trying to give you money, why don’t you want it back, eh?" Proper aggressive chap with a Manchester accent. Anyone got tips on how to get these muppets shut down? Seriously, do not pick up if they ring you.

Got a couple of calls earlier today from some lot claiming i was due a refund for overpayments, funny thing is they had my old address from like 4 years ago! They also quizzed me about which loans I’d taken out - HSBC, Blackhorse and all that. This was so dodgy, yeah don't pick up!! They said I'd paid too much back in 2009... I asked what for exactly and they couldn’t explain, just kept going on about some financial deal. Funny enough, I had a car accident about a year ago - wasn’t my fault and luckily I wasn’t injured. I dumbly picked up this phone call. The person on the other end already knew my name and claimed they were calling about some extra payment I supposedly made on a loan. I said I don’t have any loans, but she insisted, “you must’ve had a loan sometime in the last eleven years”. Then when I asked for details about which loans, she couldn’t give me any info. Honestly, just ignore these annoying callers.

I picked up and it was a bloke with a really thick accent. He kept asking for someone I couldn’t even catch the name of. I told him that wasn’t me. Then he wondered if he’d said it wrong and wanted to know my name. When I asked for his, he just wouldn’t say. In the end, I blocked the number.
