I received a rather curious call from a firm named "Reactiv Media," who mentioned that I might be entitled to a PPI claim dating back nearly nine years. Interestingly, it appears they've attracted a bit of attention from the "Direct Marketing Commission" back in April 2012, and there have been some grumblings to the Telephone Preference Service as well. If you’ve got a spare moment, I’d suggest getting in touch with these organisations and lodging a complaint. It could be worth your while!

Hello there! This number has been getting in touch with my partner repeatedly. Each time he picks up, they inquire about a Mr Hughes, who, I must say, is not residing here. I've been inundated with calls from these folks, incessantly claiming that I owe them money for a loan I never took out. It's utterly absurd! They are extremely pushy and rather impolite, insisting that they have vital info for me. One of them even mentioned the call being recorded, which really sets my teeth on edge. Not only did she already have my postcode, but she also requested my house number. After that, she mentioned that I had some funds from back in 2009 that were owed to me and inquired about any credit accounts I might have had to verify my identity. Feeling wary, I claimed I had never taken out any credit. She was taken aback, insisting, "Surely, you've had something, perhaps for a vehicle or items for your home?" I got an answerphone message informing me I had reached Discover Finance and that their offices were currently closed. They shared their operating hours, which are Monday to Thursday until 8pm. Blimey, what an absolute nightmare! The chap I spoke to was downright obnoxious. He just wouldn't stop shouting when I inquired about his identity. You'll be connected to an agent shortly - my suggestion? Tag it as a spam number! When you pick up, tie them up in knots - pretend you're a candidate for the Russian presidency and that you’re tracking the call. Have a laugh and keep them going!

I informed him it wasn’t me, and he started to doubt his pronunciation, wanting to know my name instead. When I inquired about his, he was quite evasive and wouldn’t share it.
