I reiterated my stance, mentioning the barrage of similar calls I receive-easily around ten a day-and that when I'm ready to pursue such services, I’d simply look up a firm that stands out online. Despite my clear disinterest, he went on about the importance of time and kept bombarding me with questions regarding my business. I maintained my position, yet he insisted, trying to persuade me of his company’s merits. Finally, I pointed out that if he believed his services were truly top-notch, they’d surely rank high on Google, making it easy for potential clients like myself to find them when the time was right. After a lengthy ten minutes of him prattling on, he finally realised I wasn’t budging and abruptly ended the call.

When they proposed a service, I informed them that I could actually obtain it via Google Analytics without charge, at which point they abruptly terminated the call. Intrigued, I attempted to ring them back, yet they repeatedly cut me off. Finally, they answered, but I distinctly heard one of them mutter “oh for goodness' sake” under their breath. Naturally, I made another attempt and, just as luck would have it, they picked up again. I greeted them, only to be met with “oh, wrong number” before they hung up. I was merely trying to discover what their business entailed, but it seems I may have thwarted their little ruse.
