Got a call from 02080891904 about my meter, but then the bloke started asking for loads of personal stuff that any genuine company would already have. Didn’t feel right, so I’ve blocked the number.

There was this bloke who just wouldn’t quit calling us, ringing over and over even after we told him to knock it off.

They wanted some company info, but I told them I'd rather not share that and that if they have a contract with us, they should already know who they're dealing with. Then the bloke said he'd email me, but after that he just ended the call. I still haven't seen any email come through.

This bloke rang me claiming to be from the NATIONAL GRID METERING SERVICES, which immediately made me suspicious. He said someone was due to come and switch out our business electricity meter on 26th June, about two weeks from now, and that the power would be off for a couple of hours. I told him that just wouldn't work for us. While we were chatting, I quickly looked up National Grid Metering Services online and asked why he wasn’t calling from the official number listed there. That’s when he just hung up on me.
