Today, my mum got a phone call where they told her she'd be arrested or lose her house and car if she didn't pay up. This was on the 7th of November 2017. She's really upset by it, especially since she’s already dealing with health stuff. These people are awful. If you get a call like this, don’t say anything and just end the call immediately.

So I looked into this and found out that Localphone Ltd is behind this number. I called their UK line 0203 129 3129 and spoke to someone there. They told me that the number 0208 077 0685 belongs to one of their clients, and they’d be cancelling it and reaching out to the person using it. I guess the client might just get a new number anyway, but if lots of people who’ve been called by them contacted Localphone Ltd, the flood of complaints might actually make them reconsider allowing that customer to keep using their service.

This definitely seems like it’s coming from India. I’ve put all my numbers on the blacklist, but that only works for calls originating here in the UK. When I rang back pretending to be a DI from the local police, the guy totally freaked out.

Got two messages on my landline from someone asking me to ring back a number, mentioning a Lisa Williams. When I finally did, a guy named Chris Anderson answered. As soon as I began questioning him and pointing out inconsistencies, he lost it, started yelling and even called me a criminal, telling me to "shut your f***ing mouth." Sounds like a scam from Nigeria, judging by his accent and the way he talked. He didn’t get to the part where they probably want money to clear some fake “arrest warrant.” Absolute clowns - could really fool or frighten people who aren’t savvy.

Got a phone call from this number a bit ago. When I called back, the guy sounded super convincing at first. But once I started having a laugh with him, he suddenly got proper mad and said the sheriff would show up at my house in two hours! I asked for his name and he just hung up.
