Nuisance call, promptly blocked.

I received a rather suspicious phone call today, and I couldn’t shake off the feeling that I was being scammed. The person on the other end claimed to represent a government agency, weaving a tale about funding for repairs on my rental property. It all seemed a bit too good to be true, honestly. I’d advise anyone to be cautious if they get a similar call!

Got a scam call from this number. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it and would suggest others do the same to help cut down on these annoying calls from plenty of numbers like this one.

Not again with this sort of Cockney rubbish! Honestly, I’m fed up of hearing the same old nonsense.

Got a call from someone claiming I was a tenant when I actually own my place. Told them straight up to quit ringing me. Total scam.

I've been getting calls from this number on and off for a few weeks now, really frustrating. The person on the line said they were from a housing association and wanted my info, but I’m not even registered with any housing association.

Total scam, don’t waste your time with this!

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent talking about some government plan to clear unsecured debts and loans. I was quite polite and turned down the offer. Later, I looked up the number on Google to be safe. The problem is, I’m expecting calls from unfamiliar numbers, so I feel like I have to pick up even if it might be a scam.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying she was from the compliance team. I didn’t even let her finish and kept asking if she was from HMRC or maybe DWP or some other place. She just cut the call right away. Definitely block that number.

Had that typical asian accent right off the bat. Then he said he had a very english sounding name, yeah sure. Couldn’t get my name right at all either. The company name was just mumbled nonsense. When he started about asking 3 quick questions and needing just a minute, I quickly found a way out and we both agreed it was best to end the call.

Someone called me asking to buy a £150 iTunes card, saying they'd drop by with a cheque and some cash refund from an old mortgage deal I supposedly had years ago. Total nonsense if you ask me.

I just let it ring and then it went to voicemail, but I didn't bother leaving a message. If it's actually something urgent, they'll either call again or drop me a message.

Sounds a bit fishy. They call saying the council or government will cover any house repairs but really what they want is your email, personal details, and probably your cash. Stay clear, it seems like a scam to me.

Got a call from some guy with a dodgy Indian accent, claiming the government will cover all housing repairs free of charge. He even asked for photos of the damages before any fixes were done. Tried ringing the Equifax number they gave me but couldn’t get through to anyone. Don’t know where they got my number from either. Definately blocking this one.

So I got a call from this bloke called Jay, and it was obvious he was a phony. He was chatting to me, but you could tell he was also sneaking in some convo with another dodgy mate of his. They tried to convince me they worked for some government thing fixing up houses for free, but it just screamed scam. They’re only out to get your cash, don’t fall for it. Just block and move on.

I never picked up since I didn’t know the number and they didn’t bother to leave any message.

I got a call earlier today but missed it, so I tried ringing back about 8pm. Right away, my phone provider flagged it as a possible scam and showed a big red warning, so I ended the call straight away.
