Got a call from someone pretending to be from Three Mobile, but it was so obvious they were trying to scam me. They were slowly reading off some rubbish script that didn’t make any sense. Honestly, just ignore and block them straight away. It’s frustrating that these companies don’t do more to stop these calls or make the scammers responsible.

Got a call from this number earlier claiming to be 'Ofcom', warning me my landline would get disconnected within a day. Total rubbish if you ask me! I could easily see older folks falling for this kind of scam. I just ended the call straight away and blocked their number afterwards!

Just got a dodgy call, definitely a scam trying to pull a fast one.

Got a ring from someone calling himself Laurence, using this number, asking about kitchen appliance insurance. When I said I didn’t have any, he just dropped the call. Then, not long after, the same number popped up again, same bloke but now he was with a different company, chatting about drainage insurance. I told him that was covered under our main home insurance and he ended the call again. Curious to see which company he’ll claim to work for if he rings back!

Didn't pick up since I only answer if they talk first, no message left either. Going to block as others have had bad experiences with this number.

I ignored the call since they didn’t leave any voicemail, but they’ve been ringing quite a bit before. Nowadays, I always look them up here before deciding. If the number seems okay, I jot down who it is so I know whether to answer next time.

Loads of calls from someone named John, saying he’s from "Secure My Home". Been getting these annoying calls over and over again. Total nonsense. I just hang up straight away.

My elderly parents got a call saying some £600 had wrongly been taken from their credit card. I reckon it was a scam trying to get their bank or card info. Luckily, my mum wasn’t having any of it and ended the call straight away.

Got a call from 02080402540 again, looks like they’re running the old drainage upgrade scam. Probably angling for my bank info, but I don’t fall for that nonsense. This time it seemed like there was someone real on the line though.

They didn’t leave a message, so I’m guessing it’s just another scam call from someone over in India or Pakistan.

This morning I got a call about land drainage cover, but the moment I told the guy I didn’t have any, he just ended the call straight away!

Got a call about some direct debit for drainage cover or something. Told the bloke I didn’t have that service at all and asked why he was ringing me. Suddenly he went from being alright to a right grump and just cut me off. I’d only just started having a bit of fun winding him up! Pretty clear this is some scam to grab your bank info or push dodgy services. Best advice: just tell them to jog on and hang up straight away.

This morning I got a call from a courteous young bloke claiming to be from Homesure or Homeserve about Southern Plumbing and Drainage Services. He wanted me to note down a reference number to give to his admin team to check my bank details or something, saying it would lower my yearly bill. I told him I don't have any direct debit with that firm and refused to share any financial info on the phone. Since they already had my name and address, I asked for all the details to be sent to me in writing so I could review it properly. After that, they just ended the call.

Got two calls within a couple of days, and it sounded like the same young bloke each time, saying something about my plumbing and drainage insurance. He was trying to offer me a better price or something. When I said I didn’t have any coverage and asked how he got my info, he just hung up on me. Proper irritating, and like others have mentioned, it’s likely a bit risky for people who actually fall for it.

Got a call saying they could offer me cheaper plumbing and drains cover - total scam, I reckon!

Got a call from them last week too. The bloke was going on about some plumbing insurance, acting like I already had a cover with them and needed to update my details or something. I told him straight up I’m not with them and didn’t want to join either. He just thanked me and ended the call. Honestly, he seemed quite nice and polite, but it was definitely one of those annoying sales calls that’s a bit misleading if you ask me.

Got a call saying they had carpet cleaning for £39 a room. When I told them I wanted the ceiling cleaned instead, they said they’d transfer me to someone in admin. Then the admin person asked for my address and when I told them to take me off their calling list, they just cut the call.

I got a call from this pushy bloke who kept going on about how my drainage insurance costs too much and that he could sort me out with a better deal. Thing is, I don’t even have drainage insurance! Total waste of time and seemed like a proper scam. I told him to jog on!

The caller said they were from Homesure and told me my kitchen appliances weren’t covered anymore. Like others have mentioned, the voice sounded like a dodgy recording that kept breaking up. I told them I didn’t have any of that coverage and just hung up. Pretty sure it was just another scam call.

Ugh, not these drainage insurance scams again! They switch up their phone numbers all the time, which is how they get past call blockers. A lot of the calls are from London, but I’ve also seen them pop up from other places around the UK.

I got a weird call claiming it was about plumbing and drainage cover. They said I had insurance with "Homeserve" (which I definitely didn’t) and it was supposedly moving to some company called [unclear] Building Services. It was a robotic message that kept glitching and tried to reply when I spoke, then sent me through to some call centre. They already had my address, full name, and phone number, then asked for my bank info under the excuse of "following company policy to confirm details before posting paperwork". Total rubbish - just a scam to trick people.

I got a couple of recorded calls claiming my heating and plumbing cover was getting upgraded with a discount. Then they put me through to some "administration department" to verify my info. As soon as I told them I didn’t have that insurance, they just hung up. Really felt like they were trying to scam me out of some cash.

Got a call today about some plumbing and drainage insurance I’m sure I never signed up for. They asked for my Direct Debit info, but when I said my bank was Toyland, they just hung up on me. Proper cheeky! Seriously, never hand over your personal info to these callers!

I don’t usually say anything when I get a call from a number I don’t know, I just listen for the caller to start talking. This time, it was something about plumbing and drainage which struck me as strange since we hardly ever mention drainage, let alone to a plumber. So, I just ended the call.

I got a call that felt really dodgy, something about a contract for my drains or whatever. The weird thing was, as soon as I said hello, some recording jumped in saying they could give me a better deal on this contract I apparently have. Problem is, I don’t have any contract at all. When I tried to say something else, it just went quiet then another message started up. Definitely scammy, and I reckon it could catch you out if you’re not careful or don’t know what to listen for.
