7.20 in the morning today - are you kidding me?! Then they ring me again later on my mobile. What’s the deal with people pretending to be English by using our names when you can tell they’re overseas? No respect or common decency at all. I’ve had it with these rude people. Asked them multiple times to take me off their list but no luck, so I just blocked the number now. Isn’t there some way to put an end to this? Surely somebody can do something?

Today I got a call from a number finishing in 0103, and the caller used my old surname. I told them that wasn’t me, and they asked if I was related, I said no. When I asked who they were, they just wouldn’t answer and then hung up on me.

Got a couple of calls today, both claiming to be from Convenience Today. The callers were Asian men, but odd thing is they said their names were Jack and William! Felt more like Jack & Jill to me. They were quite pushy, but as soon as I asked them some questions, they just ended the call. Weirdly, both of them had my full name and address, which doesn’t sit right with me.

Whenever the phone rings, I just let my answering machine take over. Friends, family, and colleagues always identify themselves when they leave a message. If I happen to be around, I'll pick up; if not, I simply return the call once I hear their message. If it’s an unknown number, I usually dial 1471 to find out who it was and, if necessary, I’ll just block them straight away.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent calling himself 'Nathan' from Convenience Today. He asked for my husband by name and even knew our address! When I asked where he got that info, he said 'Google' and claimed he was from Google India! Told him to buzz off and just ended the call.

Got a call from an Asian bloke, but I couldn’t make out what he was on about. I told him we only deal with GPs and asked to be taken off any lists. He said something back, but I couldn’t understand a word ‘cause there was loads of noise in the background. He kept repeating some stuff that gave me a weird vibe, like he was some kind of creep talking about… allegiance or something? Plus, he mentioned being turned down by a woman, which honestly freaked me out. I just hung up, but after reading about these things, I reckon he might ring again and I’m honestly a bit worried about it.
