Phone number ☎️ 02080280034 👆 is reported as a persistent nuisance call linked to alleged "RC Solicitors," with many callers describing aggressive, misleading behaviour. The callers typically assert knowledge of a recent road traffic accident involving the recipient or someone at their address, a claim usually refuted by recipients who report no such accidents. The calls often feature individuals with strong Asian accents, poor audio quality, and evasive or fictitious contact details. Many users suspect these are scam operations attempting to extract personal information or intimidate. Despite registration with the Telephone Preference Service and blocking efforts, calls continue unabated. Complaints note rude responses from callers when challenged. Caution and non-engagement are advised, with blocking and reporting to appropriate authorities recommended to help minimise such fraudulent cold calls.

RC Solicitors called me, asked for me by name and said someone at my address had been involved in an accident. I ended the call straight away. I've not been in any accident, and I figured if I had, they'd have details like my reg plate and send an official letter, not start with a phone call. Insurance firms would be first to get in touch, not solicitors. I'm signed up with TPS but somehow this call slipped through. Tried reporting it on the Which website but they just directed me back to TPS. Apparently TPS don’t handle abusive or annoying sales calls.

Got a call from this number earlier tonight. A bloke claimed that someone living at my place had been in an accident. Obviously not true so I just ended the call. He rang straight back asking why I was being rude. I told him it was a nuisance and I’d be reporting it. Then he started using bad language so I cut him off again. He called a third time and said he was a lawyer. I told him I’d be reporting him to the law society. My phone company says this number belongs to RC Solicitors, but I can’t imagine they’d try to get clients like this.

Got a call today around 5.33pm asking about some kind of "RTA". Was polite but didn’t give out any info or respond to their questions, then just ended the call. From what I’ve seen in other comments, "RC Solicitors" seem to be quite persistent!! Good to know what’s what. Cheers for the heads up!

I got a call this evening from a guy calling himself "Robert" with an Asian accent. He said he got my info from RC solicitors and then claimed he was ringing from the same firm. He went on to say he was a solicitor and insisted I answer his questions because that’s what solicitors do. He sounded really pushy and intimidating. When I refused to give any info, he said the call was being recorded and I’d better answer. I told him it’s actually illegal to record a call without telling the other person right at the start. After a bit, he finally admitted he wasn’t really a solicitor.

This number rings me quite a bit, actually got two calls off them today already! They don’t speak at first, just a barely there “Hello” like others mentioned. I’ve grown used to it so I just end the call straight away. Maybe next time I’ll actually ask them what they want and why they keep calling me.

I've been receiving unsolicited calls from individuals in India about a car accident that never happened. Alarmingly, I didn't even own a car on the day they claim the accident occurred. This situation is incredibly frustrating and I implore someone to put an end to it.

Definitely one of those call centre things, there was a pause at first then a really quiet voice came through. I said hello, he asked if I was Mr xxxxx, so I just ended the call right away. Then, without missing a beat, he called back and said 'Oi, why did you just hang up on me?'. I didn’t hold back and told him exactly why.

Had pretty much the same dodgy calls from this number as others have said. Can’t figure out why Ofcom, BT, and so on don’t do proper checks on these kinds of numbers, note down the ones causing hassle, and actually do something about them. I'm starting to jot down the offending numbers (if 1471 can show them) and planning to send a formal complaint letter to those organisations. Would recommend others do the same - it’s gotta make a difference for all of us.

On 21 January 2017, a man with an Asian accent contacted us at 10:45 AM. He claimed to be from RC Solicitors and mentioned that someone from our address had been involved in an accident. We quickly determined that this information was incorrect and promptly ended the call. It is concerning that individuals such as him are able to continue making fraudulent calls. Measures should be taken to prevent further disruptions.

Picked up and just heard some mumbling like it was from an office call centre. I was just about to put the phone down when a quiet “hello” came through, then they cut off. I usually wait till my answerphone kicks in and only bother if someone actually talks. It saves me loads of hassle!

I received a call from a man with an Asian accent, claiming to be from a solicitor's firm. He mentioned that he knew about an accident I had been involved in with my car. This made me wonder how he obtained such information. He assured me that I could receive a significant sum of money in compensation since I was not at fault. However, I explained to him that my insurance company didn't see it that way, and it would be preferable for his firm to communicate with me through written correspondence. It frustrates me that I divulged too much information before confirming his authenticity as a fraudulent caller. This man needs to face legal consequences - it's baffling that this issue hasn't been dealt with considering the numerous reports filed against similar incidents.

I have had the same experience as other users on this site. I received a call stating that someone at my address was involved in an accident within the last three years. Earlier today, I received a call from an Asian man who rudely woke me up. The caller falsely claimed that someone in my household had been involved in an accident. When I denied this, he immediately ended the call. This incident has left me feeling furious. If only he had simply apologized and acknowledged that he had disturbed me, it wouldn't have been as unpleasant. It's truly puzzling how these callers managed to obtain my number, especially because I am ex-directory and registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS).

A missed call came through my mobile phone, but no message was left. So, I decided to call the landline number back instead. The person on the other end claimed to be from a law firm, mentioning an accident that supposedly occurred three years ago. Suspicious, I informed them that nobody by that name had been involved in any accident. Got a call this morning around 10.40am from a bloke with a really thick Indian accent, honestly couldn’t catch a single thing he was saying. Asked him to explain again and he just told me to fix my bloody hearing and called me a deaf c---! Rang the number back and they said it was about a car accident I supposedly had. Definitely a scam.

These individuals are dishonest and should not be making any calls, especially since I have already registered with the Telephone Preference Service.

At 13:10 on November 12th, I received a phone call from someone with an American or Canadian accent. They claimed to be calling about my "recent car accident." However, it was quite clear that this was a phishing attempt aimed at obtaining my personal information. Fortunately, their efforts turned out to be completely futile, as they gained nothing from me.

They really came through and helped me sort out my personal compensation. I’m proper chuffed with that!

I’ve been home sick and this number keeps ringing me at all hours over the past couple weeks. I finally picked up and they started talking some rubbish about an accident. Then, right in the middle of me telling them off, they just went quiet and ended the call!

Earlier this morning, I received a phone call from an alleged law firm claiming that someone in my household had been involved in an accident. The caller even knew my house number. It is important to put a stop to these unlawful individuals. In response, I decided to take action and blew a whistle into the phone. I politely requested that the caller refrain from contacting me again, although I'm uncertain if he heard my message!

Got a call from some so-called law firm earlier today saying someone here had an accident and wanted me to confirm yes or no - they even knew my house number! These scammers really need to be put to an end. I told them off on the phone and asked them not to ring me again - not sure if they actually listened tho.

Received a call earlier today, but the person on the other end cut off as soon as I picked up. When I redialled the number, I was greeted with “Hello, I’m afraid the line’s a bit unclear,” followed by some hold music. Decided it was best to hang up again.

I received a jumbled call from someone who had a noticeable Indian accent, claiming to be with a law firm. The connection was quite poor and kept cutting in and out. I suspect it was an overseas call, so I ended up hanging up.
