RC Solicitors called me, asked for me by name and said someone at my address had been involved in an accident. I ended the call straight away. I've not been in any accident, and I figured if I had, they'd have details like my reg plate and send an official letter, not start with a phone call. Insurance firms would be first to get in touch, not solicitors. I'm signed up with TPS but somehow this call slipped through. Tried reporting it on the Which website but they just directed me back to TPS. Apparently TPS don’t handle abusive or annoying sales calls.

Got a call from this number earlier tonight. A bloke claimed that someone living at my place had been in an accident. Obviously not true so I just ended the call. He rang straight back asking why I was being rude. I told him it was a nuisance and I’d be reporting it. Then he started using bad language so I cut him off again. He called a third time and said he was a lawyer. I told him I’d be reporting him to the law society. My phone company says this number belongs to RC Solicitors, but I can’t imagine they’d try to get clients like this.

Got a call today around 5.33pm asking about some kind of "RTA". Was polite but didn’t give out any info or respond to their questions, then just ended the call. From what I’ve seen in other comments, "RC Solicitors" seem to be quite persistent!! Good to know what’s what. Cheers for the heads up!

I got a call this evening from a guy calling himself "Robert" with an Asian accent. He said he got my info from RC solicitors and then claimed he was ringing from the same firm. He went on to say he was a solicitor and insisted I answer his questions because that’s what solicitors do. He sounded really pushy and intimidating. When I refused to give any info, he said the call was being recorded and I’d better answer. I told him it’s actually illegal to record a call without telling the other person right at the start. After a bit, he finally admitted he wasn’t really a solicitor.

Definitely one of those call centre things, there was a pause at first then a really quiet voice came through. I said hello, he asked if I was Mr xxxxx, so I just ended the call right away. Then, without missing a beat, he called back and said 'Oi, why did you just hang up on me?'. I didn’t hold back and told him exactly why.

Had pretty much the same dodgy calls from this number as others have said. Can’t figure out why Ofcom, BT, and so on don’t do proper checks on these kinds of numbers, note down the ones causing hassle, and actually do something about them. I'm starting to jot down the offending numbers (if 1471 can show them) and planning to send a formal complaint letter to those organisations. Would recommend others do the same - it’s gotta make a difference for all of us.

Got a call from this number and the guy on the other end sounded Asian. He said he was a solicitor from some firm and that I’d been in a car accident. I don’t know how he found that out. He was going on about me getting a big payout because it wasn’t my fault. I told him that’s not what my insurance said and that it’d be best if his firm sent me a letter instead. I feel proper annoyed for giving away too much info before realising he might be a scammer. This bloke should be stopped by the law. It’s crazy noone’s doing anything when so many people are complaining about this.

Got a call from a guy who sounded Asian, claiming some made-up accident. Didn’t bother talking and just hung up straight away. Luckily, he can’t ring me again on this number since I got one of those call blockers about six months back. You just pop the number into the device that clips onto your phone, and it stops loads of annoying calls - cut them down by over 90%. Best £20 I’ve spent ever, really brought some calm back.

Like a lot of others here, we asked for his phone number and he gave 020 802 800 36, even though the call came from 020 802 800 34. He claimed to be from RC Solicitors regarding a car accident claim we never made, and couldn’t tell us our insurer’s name. At first he said his name was Robert, but when he got confused he switched it to Harry. Eventually he got annoyed with us having a laugh! Total scam, no doubt.

I’ve been home sick and this number keeps ringing me at all hours over the past couple weeks. I finally picked up and they started talking some rubbish about an accident. Then, right in the middle of me telling them off, they just went quiet and ended the call!

This morning I got a call from someone claiming to be from a legal office saying someone here had been injured and asked me to confirm. They even knew my house number! Such scam artists should be shut down. I blew a whistle into the phone and told them not to ring again, but I doubt they paid any attention!

Got a call from some so-called law firm earlier today saying someone here had an accident and wanted me to confirm yes or no - they even knew my house number! These scammers really need to be put to an end. I told them off on the phone and asked them not to ring me again - not sure if they actually listened tho.

Received a call earlier today, but the person on the other end cut off as soon as I picked up. When I redialled the number, I was greeted with “Hello, I’m afraid the line’s a bit unclear,” followed by some hold music. Decided it was best to hang up again.

Got a call at 6.30pm from a 'law company' claiming there was an accident involved. Told them I was on the TPS, they said they weren't trying to sell anything, so I just ended the call nicely.

Someone rang saying they were a solicitor about a car crash we were involved in. When we told him we’re registered with the TPS, he started swearing and then just cut the call.

I received a jumbled call from someone who had a noticeable Indian accent, claiming to be with a law firm. The connection was quite poor and kept cutting in and out. I suspect it was an overseas call, so I ended up hanging up.
