I received a call today, despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service, about a car accident I’ve never experienced. The caller claimed to be from R C Solicitors in London. When I requested his full address, he seemed taken aback and questioned my reason for asking. I mentioned my TPS membership, and he quickly backtracked and apologised. He didn’t provide his address but wished me well before hanging up. It appeared that my imaginary car crash slipped his mind! It’s quite baffling how these folks seem to assume we’re all gullible, isn’t it?

This number has been pestering me, calling between five to ten times each day, specifically asking for me! I cleverly got the caller to admit that they purchase personal information from utility providers such as British Gas, E.on, and Scottish Power. I pointed out that this practice, along with cold calling in general, is against the law, and they promptly ended the call. What a cheek!

I keep receiving these incessant calls! I informed them that my wife has zero interest in loans or debt advice. They assured me they would take her name off their list, but then another caller started bothering me, ringing up to three times a day for the better part of a week. It seems like they'll keep harassing us until someone eventually answers. It's absolutely maddening!
