This number keeps popping up in dodgy situations... this time pretending to be from Three, and they were really pushy, trying to get my bank info and other personal stuff. No way was I giving that out. Been with Three for years and they already got my details anyway. I just ended the call, then looked up the number right away. Every site I checked, including this one, flagged it as a scam and labelled it “Dangerous.” Definitely don’t trust it!

I've come across a rather dodgy situation where some individuals reportedly tried to extort around £700, claiming they were from HMRC and presenting a fictitious case or warrant number. They even go as far as suggesting you Google the number, which conveniently brings up results linking it to the UK Supreme Court. It's absolutely essential to stay vigilant and be on guard against such fraudulent tactics.

I got a call from this number claiming I owed £3486 because of some tax error. The person on the phone said they were Officer Mark Ewans, showed a badge number 98560IR and gave some case number like 248/1965. It sounded serious at first, but later I realised it was a scam. They were really pushy and kept threatening me with arrest if I didn’t pay up right away.

This number rang me out of the blue and started threatening me. They seemed to know all my personal information and then asked for my bank details.

I too received a call from this number recently. Apparently, someone has been using my BRP in Birmingham. When I questioned how that was possible, they simply told me to look it up online. They claimed it was a contact number for the Supreme Court, but I reckon it's just a scam. They were fishing for my BRP number and my date of birth.

On 28th August, I got a ring from these scammers. The police here in the UK are useless, this con has been running for over 4 years and no one has been nabbed yet.

My partner was really shaken up when she got that call, but thank god she managed to ring me, even though I was tied up in a meeting, before sending any money. I had to quickly reassure her it was just a con and there was no need to freak out. Please, everyone, report these fraudsters and warn your friends and family never to rush into payments over the phone, no matter if the caller claims to be from the government or someone you know. Honestly, it’d be great if the government ran some online campaigns to raise awareness about these scams.

I got a phone call from someone saying his name was David, he called me on a normal mobile number - 07477188263. Then he told me to answer a call from another number - 02079601500, which he claimed was from the Supreme Court. It was pretty intimidating, him saying I had to cough up £2000 to stop the police coming after me because apparently, I’d worked over 20 hours a week. He told me to look up that Supreme Court number on google, saying it’s the official number for the Supreme Court. Seemed really dodgy to me.

Got a call supposedly from HMRC but they kept saying Her Majesty instead of His Majesty, which seems odd since the Queen has passed away. Feels like a giveaway it’s not the real HMRC. They told me to press 1 or I’d be taken to court. Totally a scam in my opinion. I’ve reported it and will be blocking the number for good.

This morning (09/03/2023), I got a robocall from this number, purporting to be from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs. Quite amusing, given the recent global headlines they seem to have overlooked! I ended the call, blocked the number, and reported it.

02079601500 called me, said it was HMRC about owing money. Got two people on the line, sounded Indian, a young bloke and a young lass. They wanted me to quickly pay up, but only through a Revolut transfer - not my usual UK bank. They asked me to send cash to Maksym B (@maksym73op). Definitely a tax scam as far as I’m concerned.

Total scam! They masquerade as the Supreme Court alleging they're collecting tax for HMRC. I couldn't find a single English speaker on the line. They're refusing to accept credit card payments and are quite evasive about verifying any of your personal information, only asking for your first name since they seem to lack any details!

It’s definitely a dodgy call. They first rang me from 02032340880, which turned out to be yet another scam. While I was on that call, my phone buzzed with calls from 02079601500 and 01216813300, both appearing to be linked to the Birmingham crown court. It’s all part of these number spoofing scams that are floating about.

I received a phone call from this number, claiming I needed to transfer funds because of some outstanding tax obligations. It turned out to be a scam, which is quite shocking since it appeared to come from a number associated with the Supreme Court. During the conversation, they provided specific details, mentioning: - Officer Anna Rose (batch id: 235285) - Officer George Peter (batch id: 022015) They instructed me to send money to an account listed under Mariana Ciobotaru: - Account number: 69654611 - Sort code: 040075 I nearly gave away a grand!

First, I got a call from 03062001077 claiming to be HMRC, then the number switched to 02079601500. They told me there was a fraud case against me, but their tone was super odd. They kept asking if I was on my own, which made me suspicious. I just hung up, but they kept ringing me again and again, so in the end, I had to block both numbers.

So, I got a call from 02079601500 and then they moved me over to 02082001700. This bloke called himself Mike Fisher and said I’d be arrested in 20 minutes for fraud. He gave me some badge number, case ref, and a warrant number, then demanded I pay £1,736, with pricier options too if I didn’t comply. I told him I’d ring back to check, but this guy, who sounded like he was Indian, just hung up saying I’d be arrested in 20 mins. This was like 2 hours ago and here I am, writing this comment nicely :) Reported it to the cops already. At first, he was surprisingly believable though.

Got a call from 02079601500 and 02062000034 today, someone threatening me with arrest over tax evasion if I didn't cough up £1985 right away. They said if I hung up, a warrant would be issued instantly. They also insisted that I couldn’t contact my accountant or HMRC because it was supposed to be “top secret.” Honestly, it was really scary. They wanted me to pay £900 on the spot to sort it out. The person had an Indian accent and the phone connection was very dodgy and crackly.

Someone rang saying they were from HMRC and threatened to arrest my daughter over unpaid taxes. She ended the call straight away. Just been told by my lad about these awful scammers ringing him up, claiming he's got an arrest warrant from the Supreme Court in London for unpaid HMRC fees. Complete con job! Totally a scam, no doubt about it. They say they're from HMRC and claim you’ve got warrants against you, warning you about getting arrested or your bank accounts being frozen. It's just one big con. It’s crazy how people are falling for this stuff. They should let the Supreme Court know that this number keeps popping up pretending to be them.

I got calls from 02079601500 and another one from 02062002287, both times claiming to be HMRC fraud officers named Simon York and Victoria Baker. They both had strong accents, sounded like they might be from India or Pakistan. The scammers told me there was an arrest warrant over me for tax evasion and demanded money to stop me from being arrested and having my accounts frozen. FYI, the police and HMRC know all about this scam.
