I used to be a fan of AVG, but then I discovered that a significant portion of their income comes from selling personal information. Quite surprising, really!

I got called by "SIGMA" about a car crash that wasn't even my fault. As soon as I explained I was actually the one at fault and had already sorted everything, they just hung up on me.

I think this call is just a clever method of filtering responses to ultimately hand over your details as a 'live' contact for various marketing databases. If you block the number, it may stop the calls, but beware - they have a whole array of numbers that tweak the last four digits, enabling them to still get through. Keep an eye out for anything that begins with 020 7950 instead of the full 11-digit sequence.

I received a call from this number around 18:43. I chose not to pick up, and it seems the caller ended the call themselves. Lately, I've been inundated with multiple calls from various 0207 numbers. I've decided it's best to simply ignore them altogether.

Got a call around 7 in the evening and when I answered with a simple "hello" a few times, this creepy robotic woman voice just went "goooodbyyyee" and then it ended the call. Proper weird!

Got a missed call from this number. Lately I’ve been getting loads, mostly from those annoying Microsoft scam folks, or people trying to sell PPI stuff, solar panels, boilers and the like. Honestly, I couldn’t be bothered anymore. I just don’t return calls from numbers I don’t know and try blocking them whenever I can. If it’s something legit, I’m sure I’ll recognise the number or they’ll find another way to reach me even if I accidentally block them.

I got a ring from 02079500821, and they said they were from Microsoft, saying my computer had issues that needed fixing. I wasn’t too sure it was genuine, as I’ve heard about these kinds of scams before. I told them I wasn’t interested in doing any work on my PC as it might be dodgy, but the person, who spoke with an Indian accent, kept pushing. In the end, I had to just hang up to end the call.

They told me they knew I’d had a crash a couple of years back or so. When I mentioned it was actually in 1975 with my old Ford Anglia, they just ended the call! I don’t normally pick up strange numbers but was feeling a bit bored so thought why not. Bit of a let down, they didn’t even humour me!

I received a phone call from a chap claiming to be David Wilson, who spoke with an Indian accent. He mentioned he was representing a company with a name I could hardly catch, stating there was an issue with my computer. I picked up the call, but it was eerily silent on the other end before they hung up abruptly. It feels rather suspicious-like some dodgy outfit fishing for personal information from unwary folk. If it were something of genuine importance, they’d surely drop a message, wouldn’t they? Best to steer clear of such numbers!
