I rang this number that’s on the TPS register and I’m pretty sure it hasn’t been shared anywhere. The line’s been ex-directory ever since it was disconnected. They didn’t leave any voicemail, so I can’t really say what their intention was. Feels like they either have access to the TPS list to call instead of block, or it’s just some random number generator.

These dodgy scammers keep ringing me from different numbers nearly every week - blocking them doesn’t help at all, they just keep coming back with another one. Don’t count on the government to protect your privacy or safety, they’re all about snooping on us and grabbing all our personal info thanks to that awful, illegal snoopers law. If you don’t want to get bothered, just block the entire range 0207946xxxx using apps like Mr Number or t####er. They won’t stop though, they keep calling from loads of different numbers. It’s best to block them all at once.
