These comments are great, loads of folks don’t even catch it’s a recording. Haha. Yeah, it’s just another rubbish phone call about some accident. I’ve only started getting them since mine, and the only ones I gave this number to were the police! I really like the idea someone had about wasting their time when it’s a real person on the other end, not a recording.

Spot on, as the previous remark pointed out. There seems to be an abundance of phone numbers that are quite alike. For instance, I received calls from both 02079461912 and 02079461913 myself.

It turns out they’re a PPI claims outfit situated in London. Best to disregard their calls altogether.

This was a claims outfit, they called saying “according to our files you recently had a car accident.” I said I don’t even have a driving licence and she quickly said sorry and promised to take my number off their list. She was really polite and quite nice.

I've been getting these nonstop calls and only just noticed they're actually recorded. There's always a weird pause when you reply, sounds like some robotic recording. It's ridiculous, I asked them to take my number off their list, but all I got was another robotic reply saying "ok, one moment," then the call just gets cut off.

Got a call from an Indian bloke calling himself Jason, claiming he was from Microsoft and needed to fix some settings on my laptop remotely. I told him straight I don’t own a laptop. He kept insisting that everyone’s got one so I must have one. I stuck to my guns and said no, and then the line just went dead, no farewell or nothing. Definitely a dodgy call. Don’t hand over any personal details to these people.

Yet another annoying ambulance chaser calling! She said, "I heard you was in a crash." Sounded exactly like the others who have called before, just with another name. Then she passed me on to a bloke who asked me to state the exact date of the accident. I told him, "If you know I had an accident in the past year, surely you can tell me when it was." He said he just wanted to confirm the date, so I said, "Your firm is calling me out of the blue to say I had an accident in the past year, so it makes sense that you'd know the exact date, right?" After that, he just cut the call.
