Super annoying. They kept ringing me at 6:50pm right when I was putting my daughter to sleep. Some lady with a thick accent kept asking about a car crash I supposedly had. I don’t even own a car! Proper idiots! Blocked the number but I’m sure they’ll just switch the last four digits and try again.

TOTAL SCAM! Been getting calls from these numbers for ages now, always switching the last four digits each time. I never pick up if the number starts with 0207946 anymore. In my opinion, if it’s someone legit, they’ll leave a voicemail. But from what I’ve seen, they never bother. If you do pick up, just ask for their contact number to ring back - they usually hang up straight away.

It's hilarious when they ring up saying they've got details about some crash I was in. I always ask if it's the one where I was drunk driving or the one with the hoverboard. Usually gets me around 3 to 4 minutes messing about. If I'm feeling grumpy, I start grilling them about data protection and things get pretty heated. One time, the bloke said he didn't have time for me and just ended the call - and yeah, I've got proof he did.

Got a missed call from this number and, being a bit gullible, I thought it might be something urgent so I rang back. Luckily the line was always engaged and I couldn’t get through. After seeing what others have said, this number is now blocked on my phone. Cheers to my Samsung, their phones really work well for blocking unwanted calls. The one downer is I’ll never get to chat about an accident I didn’t have or the mysterious PPI I supposedly owe. ####.

you can actually block all calls begining with 020 7946 right from your phone settings on some models. there are apps too that can help with this. i also recommend blocking any calls starting with 08 and 09, loads of pesky calls come from those numbers.
