Got a call from a guy who sounded Asian, claiming he was from Microsoft saying my computer was hacked. He kept pushing me to switch on my PC. I told him he was actually speaking to the local police station but he didn’t seem to care. Then I told him I use a Mac, not Microsoft, but he just ignored it and kept insisting I turn it on. Normally I’d mess about with these scammers but this time I just hung up. Total SCAM - don’t power up your computer or they’ll probably plant ransomware and hold your PC hostage till you cough up.

Honestly, it’s better to block the entire 0207946xxxx range using an app like Truecaller or Mr Number, or some smartphones let you do it in the settings.
