I recently received a phone call from a bunch of pesky claim hunters. It seems the only way to put an end to their relentless pursuit is to file a claim of some sort. However, I'm not quite convinced I'm courageous enough to hand over my personal information to these dodgy characters.

So theres loads of different numbers they can use, blocking one won’t even stop it cos they switch the last 4 every time. I had a rather amusing experience similar to what Dave described. The call started off with an automated message, which then connected me to an Asian chap. He inquired about my supposed involvement in an accident, claiming he got the information from the Road Traffic Accident Department, or so I believe he said; apparently it’s linked to some government entity. When I informed him that the incident in question occurred a good six or seven years ago, he abruptly terminated the call. It’s a pity really; I was hoping to prolong the conversation a bit longer. The best I’ve managed in the past was to keep one of these callers on the line for around 15 to 20 minutes. Well, if they insist on dialling my mobile and squandering their own cash, I might as well make the most of their generosity. These types are hardly more desirable than something unpleasant you might find stuck to the sole of your shoe. Oh, my apologies - at least with dog mess, you can clean it off with relative ease. I reckon most folks can relate to where I’m coming from.
