Got a call from what seemed like the ambulance callback number, they were checking about when the ambulance showed up.

I chose not to pick up when this number rang, but out of curiosity, I looked it up and it took me to Ryecraft Motors & Bodyshop Ltd in London. They might be legit or it could just be a wrong number, but I’m based in Aberdeen and the last time I was in London, I flew down. So it’s not shocking to see quite a few complaints about scams associated with this. No voicemail was left either, so I guess it wasn’t anything urgent!

A woman with a West Country accent claimed to be from some government branch called BRDC and wanted to talk to the boss or the Accounts Manager. I told her nobody was about to take the call and started to say goodbye. She hung up before I got the chance. Usually a classic sign it's a scam call.

Got a call from this number at 5:49pm on 19/01/2023. After reading some of the other comments, it’s clear this is a scam. Just a bit of info, numbers starting with 0203, 0208, and 0207 can be bought as virtual numbers for about £9.45 and can be used from anywhere globally. It’s a pity we live in a world that seems to make it easier for scammers and harder for honest people. Bit of a downer, honestly.

Survey scam alert. Didn’t know the name he was asking for at all. I said no one there goes by that and asked if he had a callback number. He kept pushing and I repeated there wasn’t anyone around. Then he kept urging me to take the survey, but I said I wasn’t the right person. He just snapped “your choice” and hung up. Sounds like a call centre to me. Total SCAM.

Don’t fall for it.

Got a call saying it was Virgin Bank. Ive got a business account with them but they were asking for someone else, a name linked to the business that isnt even real.
