i rang halifax using an 0345 number and asked them to ring me back, then got a call from this number. i’ve got #### saved on my s8+, so i know i phoned halifax, but this number showed up as " # ensure car insurance" (with an "n" like ensure, not even esure). i asked the bloke about it and he said he’d not come across that before, but he seemed honest enough and helped me fix my issue. we’ll see how things go from here.

I’ve received calls from what appears to be a call centre affiliated with T-mobile's insurance service. The line is so crackly that it’s practically impossible to make out what they’re saying. To make matters worse, you can’t return the call on that number. It seems like a rather dodgy tactic to try and persuade folks into extending their insurance, which is complimentary for the first three months, even if you’re not interested!
