Able and Cole really missed the mark with this one. If you’re looking for a prime example of a food company getting their marketing completely wrong, this is it. An organic vegetable supplier pestering you like it’s some dodgy insurance call centre? Totally bizarre! It's so annoying that when I actually wanted to get back into buying veg boxes, I steered clear of them, blocked their number, and ended up going with their rivals instead.

I got a call from Abel & Cole the other day. Seems like they ring up previous customers trying to get them to order again. Honestly, they were really nice about it and when I said no, they didn’t hassle me afterwards for quite some time. They do throw in quite a few freebies too, probably to persuade you to come back!

These lot keep ringing me on my mobile - didn’t know the number so just ignored it. I haven’t bought anything from them in over two years since we shifted from the Midlands to Dorset, where there’s a brilliant farm shop nearby that’s way cheaper. I even told them this before. Plus, I never gave them my new address, but somehow they found me and sent a leaflet with my name on it.
