Got a call from this number supposedly based in London. I picked up and said hello, but there was just silence on the other end, then they hung up. I've blocked the number now.

Got a call from some automated system linked to HM Inland. This bloke with awful English started digging through my files but then the call just dropped. Not sure if he hung up or my signal messed up. Later on, I figured it was probably a scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from a bank about two transactions, one was for £### and the other also £###. Felt a bit off though.

Total scam! They said there were two withdrawals from my bank account, but I called my bank and it turned out to be a complete lie.

Total scam, mates, don’t pick up! I got an automated call claiming they’ll suspend my NI number or something daft like that. Honestly, if the police ever rang you, they’d call you by your name and give you the name of the officer ringing, but most of the time they just don’t ring at all. So just hang up and don’t get caught out!

This has to end, yesterday my partner got a call sayin he owes almost £### for something we’ve never heard of. They claimed to be from a court in London, but we’ve never even visited London before. They threatened the police would turn up at ### o’clock - still no sign of anyone!

Today I got a call from a bloke who wanted me to answer three questions. The very first was asking for my name and where I lived. I wouldn’t give him any of that, said I wasn’t going to say a thing, and then he just hung up on me.
