This number rang me asking if I was Mrs. ######. When I asked who was calling, they gave a name but their English was so poor I couldn’t catch it. I reckon they might’ve been from India or Pakistan. They mentioned my name and address, then said if I answered a few simple questions about my home, I could get a little hamper as a thank you. They asked around 8 questions about what appliances I own, their brands, if I’ve still got a mortgage, and some shopping related ones. Nothing overly personal or anything dodgy.

I just got a call from a bloke with a thick Indian accent who spoke awful English. He claimed to be from the London County Court of Accidents and wanted to know about a crash I supposedly had back in 2010. When I told him I never had one, he got all agitated and asked why I was fibbing, saying he doesn’t deal with people who lie.

They phoned me tonight and already had my name and address. The woman said I could get a £50 Tesco gift card by taking a short survey. I told her I don’t shop at Tesco and asked where they got my info from. She claimed it was for a promo. When I asked them to delete my info, she tried to convince me to take vouchers for Sainsbury’s or Morrison’s instead. I insisted again they erase my data and then ended the call.

Got a call on my landline about half an hour ago, but nobody said anything. Since I'm on the Telephone Preference Service, their call was actually against the rules. If anyone else is fed up with these idiots, I'd recommend reporting them. You can find info on the TPS site. At least that way they might get fined and maybe shut down. Just blocking won't stop them bothering others, like my 87-year-old mum.

Got a call yest evening, answered but there was silence, no one on the line. Then they called again today, 4pm Sat 2 June, I didn't pick up so it went to voicemail but no message was left. I'm on the TPS and if this keeps up, I'll be reporting and blocking. Reading the comments here, smells like a phishing scam. These kinds of callers are proper scum, honestly, wish there was some way to make them pay - I'd be first in line to deal with them.

They've phoned me several times lately, mostly at really odd hours in the evening. I picked up one call today and a woman asked for my address to send me a supposedly free £50 Tesco voucher I'd won, but I just hung up after that.

I picked up this call on my home phone and all I could hear was some chatting in the back, then a woman suddenly laughed out loud and quickly ended the call. Proper strange.

I picked up the phone and at first all I could hear was some muffled background noise. Then a young guy started talking, spoke pretty good English but with a slight Indian accent. He said he was ringing from Morrison's, used my name, and mentioned I’d shopped there lately, which I have. I told him I don’t like these kinds of unexpected calls and asked him to take my info off their list. I never gave Morrison’s my number or name, so I reckon this might be some kind of scam.

Today, we've had a right nuisance with this number repeatedly trying to reach us on our home phone. They’ve called multiple times, and each time there’s been nothing but silence on the other end. The most recent call just came in at precisely 20.29. Honestly, it’s beyond irritating and we need these bothersome calls to cease immediately!

I just had a rather odd phone call from this number. The caller insisted that they were sending me a £50 Tesco voucher. They inquired about the brand of my washing machine and wanted to know if the phone line they rang me on was from BT, Virgin or Talk Talk. I informed them that none of those were correct. Intriguingly, they already had my address and asked me what age group I fit into. There were a few rather flattering remarks thrown in as well before they wrapped up the conversation. I've since decided to block that number.

I received a call earlier today from a woman whose accent was rather difficult to decipher. She inquired after 'Annie', although my name is actually Anne. She mentioned she was representing Tesco, which is quite amusing as I haven't set foot in one of their stores in ages. Annoyed by the whole thing, I informed her that we're registered with the Telephone Preference Service and that our number is ex-directory. At that point, she abruptly ended the call.
