8 yearsHad a rather peculiar phone call earlier today. A bloke with an accent that sounded Asian introduced himself as Zon Wilson, or thereabouts. He claimed to be from BT Technical Support and insisted there were issues with my internet connection. To be honest, I found it quite hard to follow what he was saying. He did give me his number when I requested it, but when he started urging me to power up my computer so he could connect me to his superior, I thought it best to hang up.Zon WilsonBT Technical Support8 yearsGot a call from this number and straight away felt it was dodgy. I looked it up here and saw all the warnings, so cheers for that. Definitely don’t share your info if someone rings up spouting rubbish like this.8 yearsI wasn’t quick enough to look up the number, and since my internet had been acting up lately, I figured they were genuine and followed their instructions to try and sort it. By the time I caught on to what was happening, some info from my device had already been taken. I ended the call as soon as I realised, but now I’m stuck having to reset every password I can think of, plus update my bank details and even get a new phone number.8 yearsGot a call saying it's from BT but I'm not even a BT customer, feels like a total scam.BT8 yearsI got a call from BT’s tech support saying someone had broken into my internet.
