To my surprise, he insisted he’d keep calling until I paid him some heed. In the end, I received five calls almost back-to-back!Fine Art12 yearsThe person on the other end utterly butchered my name-seriously, where on earth did they get that? They started off saying there’s a fantastic opportunity to rake in cash from fine art. I told them I had no interest, to which they replied, ‘Why not? You don't fancy making some dosh?’ I insisted, ‘It’s not fine art that I’m after. Who on earth are you, and could you kindly reveal the name of your company and how you got hold of my number?’ They just said, ‘Oh, it’s from my back office.’ So I pressed on, ‘What’s the name of the company, then?’ I must’ve asked three times before they went completely silent, responding only with ‘Hello, hello.’ I pushed back, not letting it slide, and repeated my question about the company name, but then… dead air.
