2 monthsI've been getting loads of calls where no one speaks. Now, I just don’t pick up at all.10 yearsI received a cheeky call from a company asserting they were ‘First Call,’ banging on about PPI refunds. I asked to speak with a manager and ended up chatting with an Anita Pillay. When I inquired about how they got my number, the chap on the line suddenly pretended he couldn’t hear me and cut the call. I tried ringing that number again only to hear a confusing echo, and when I spoke to someone at ‘1st Ring’, they hadn’t the foggiest who this Anita was. Quite the shambles, if you ask me!Anita PillayAnita10 yearsI haven’t the foggiest idea who I spoke to, but it sounded rather like a Chinese person having a sing-song!10 yearsI've received multiple calls from this number, but I can't quite place who it is.10 yearsI received two calls from this number earlier today. On the first attempt, there was absolutely no answer. During the second call, a representative claimed they could assist me in claiming a refund for PPI related to my credit card. When I asked how they obtained my phone number, she asked for my address, which I firmly refused to provide since I don’t have any PPI claims. Then, she tried to secure my email address, but I declined that as well, leading her to abruptly end the conversation. Honestly, I hope they refrain from contacting me again; they've been inundating me with calls over the past few weeks.10 yearsI have also received calls from those persistent PPI claims folks, all registered under a London number. Just a heads-up-they're actually based in Durban, South Africa, and aren’t affiliated with the UK's Ministry of Justice (MOJ), which makes their activities here rather dubious. Curiously enough, there exists a UK-based firm with an identical name that **does** offer PPI services, although it seems to have no connection to the one operating out of Durban. To provide further details, the company is called First Call Centre Solutions, located at 220 Flanders Drive, Mt Edgecombe, Durban, South Africa, with an enterprise number of 2009/12406023. The phone number they are using is +27 31000000 (though I'm uncertain if that's legitimate). For complaints, they list +27 722794 893, which I suspect is a mobile number. Interestingly, they placed a job advert in Durban's local papers last year seeking call centre agents for UK programmes, mentioning contact numbers for Pranesh or Deon Vismer at 0722794893. Deon Vismer even has a profile on LinkedIn. I trust this information proves to be of assistance to others!LondonDurbanSouth AfricaUKMinistry of JusticeMOJFirst Call Centre SolutionsFlanders DriveMt EdgecombePraneshDeon VismerLinkedIn10 yearsWe've just received a call on our mobile device.10 yearsWe received a call from this number earlier today. We chose not to answer it because we weren’t familiar with the digits. I’d strongly advise against responding, as I’ve heard tales of calls that can lead to hefty charges on your phone bill just by picking up. Best to be cautious!10 yearsReceived a missed call earlier today. When I tried to return the call, it turned out to be some sort of echo testing service. I have a strong feeling it’s just another telemarketer, to be honest.10 yearsI received a call earlier today from a woman with a distinctly English accent. She was inquiring about a former tenant of my residence by name. After that, she proceeded to ask when we would be in the area. We confirmed our availability and then asked who was on the line. At that point, she simply hung up on us.10 yearsWe rang this number back and were met with the exact same dreadful recorded echo test nonsense! What a bunch of time-wasters!11 yearsWe received a call from this number and, like many, we chose to disregard it since we’re unfamiliar with it. Should they decide to call again, they might find themselves in for a surprise - a right bunch of jokers, if you ask me!11 yearsI've received an incessant flurry of calls from this particular number-at one point, they attempted to ring me a staggering fifteen times in a single day! Each time I answer, they promptly cut the line. It's incredibly frustrating! I simply can't fathom how BT allows this number to keep getting through to me. Interestingly, I stumbled across a petition aimed at getting this number banned, found on the government’s site. It'd really make a difference if you all could lend your support and sign it! I promptly informed him he ought to find himself a legitimate job instead. Total nonsense, really. Just a pointless irritation.12 yearsI received a call from a ring centre based in South Africa, specifically linked to First Ring Centre Solutions.South AfricaFirst Ring Centre Solutions12 yearsI received a call today from the number 02070603887. Some bloke was on the line claiming to be 'David' from 'First Call Group', droning on about my non-existent credit card and some supposed refund. It's quite hilarious, really-I’ve never even owned a credit card in my life! I wouldn't be surprised if those names were total fabrications; I've heard they switch them up like socks. One of these days, these chancers will cotton on to the fact that their ruse isn't working. I had already saved this number under 'Cold Call' in my contacts, so I knew it was all complete nonsense.DavidFirst Call Group12 yearsI’m not entirely certain who this number belongs to, but when we tried to call back, we were met with a pre-recorded message. It claimed that every response we provided would be sent back to us. There was a woman on the line-either Karina or Carina-who inquired whether we were up to speed with the recent PPI regulation changes. It was quite clear to us that she was trying to sell something, so we informed her that we were already in the know. The thing is, we don't have any loans, credit cards, or a mortgage; we’re entirely debt-free. That certainly threw her off her sales pitch! I'd recommend you do the same if you get a similar call.KarinaCarina12 yearsReceived a call today, but I decided against answering. I've now added the number to my "nuisance" contacts list on my phone.12 yearsReceived a call from this number earlier today, but we didn't catch it in time.
