I've received multiple calls from someone pretending to be associated with the tax office. Absolute pest, if you ask me!

I recently received a rather alarming automated message from a woman purporting to be from customs and excise. She ominously warned of potential legal proceedings and mentioned that my home was under surveillance! It’s deeply worrying to think that individuals in precarious situations might fall prey to such deceptive calls, especially with a request to return the call to the number provided.

A woman rang me, this is the second time in a couple of months and I knew her voice straight away. She asked if I’d been in any car crashes over the past two years. I told her no and asked who she was trying to reach. She just hung up then. She did exactly the same thing the last time too.

When I asked her to say the company name again, she just kept saying "I understand." Now I'm pretty sure it was a robot because it mentioned taking me off their list and never calling back. I've blocked the number since.
