My husband just received a call from someone named Eva, followed by a guy called David Rogers. They kept saying the same rubbish that others on here mentioned. When they started asking for a £375 iTunes card, we instantly knew it was a scam. Honestly, these scammers should be behind bars.

So the same people called me again, first Michele then some bloke called David Rogers. It’s just not right that they keep getting away with this kind of scam. I bet there are some old, vulnerable folks getting caught out by them - it’s absolutely awful.

This morning I got a call from the same David Rodgers and Michelle, it's just terrible. These scam callers are the worst, honestly, they should be dealt with harshly! Totally fed up with this anonymous nonsense.

Jan 30th 2018, about 2:30pm. Same exact script, something like... David Rogers (sounds Asian)... £3750 owed, they're sending a sealed package right to you... iTunes card worth £375... need to borrow money from a mate or something. Plus, they kept saying they have your address and it'll be handed over in under an hour... bizarre call.

Ignore this, it’s just one of those dodgy PPI scams.

Just got hit with this same scam today. First got a call from a Michelle, then later some bloke called David Rogers, like you said. Funny how every time they claim I owe exactly £3750. I told him I didn’t have £375 to buy some iTunes cards, he actually suggested I borrow money from someone for a couple of hours! I told him I’m disabled and can’t get out to the shops or get help from anyone nearby. Then I asked if they could just take the £375 from the PPI payout, and he said nope, since it’s from the government, that’s not allowed. Honestly, how dumb do they think we are? Michelle (who sounded Asian) and David Rogers (also Asian) with names that sound ridiculously English. The guy said he’d call again next Thursday - apparently my "pension day" which I doubt will actually happen. I’ll just keep dodging him till he finally gets bored. Hope no one falls for their nonsense though, but they prey on desperate folks who might believe them.

Got a call from this guy, sounded Asian, called himself David Rogers. He told me I was owed £3750 for a PPI claim and that to receive the cash, I had to buy an iTunes voucher for £375 and hand it over to the delivery person when they arrived within a couple of hours. It seemed dodgy, so I tried calling the number he gave me back a few times, but it kept cutting out. When I dialled 141 before the number, I realised it was actually an international number, the very one he’d called me from originally. The worrying thing is, he’s got all my personal info, including my address and stuff.

So yesterday I got a call from some guy called David Rogers, who sounded Asian, saying the exact same stuff. I tried ringing back the number he gave me, but it didn’t work today, which was odd. Earlier, a woman, also Asian, had rang me too. I called the number she used, and it led me to a company called Central Claims Group on 03301179731. Something about it felt fishy, especially when David kept insisting they’d drop off the cash today. I ended up rearranging my schedule for nothing! What a waste.

I got a call from these lot and was promised some vouchers. When I called them back, they asked for my info but then claimed I owed them more cash. I told them I didn’t have any money left, but they kept insisting I’d get a refund. Felt daft for falling for it since it was meant to be my Christmas cash and now I’m broke. I had a loan with Blackhorse before so I didn’t really think much of it. Now they’re saying the refund will come in about two weeks, but I reckon that’s just another fib.

Got a ring from 02070482165 claiming to be the FCA saying I owed thousands. While they were chatting away, I searched them up online and realised it was a total scam. I ended the call. They rang back asking why I’d cut off, so I just told them it was a scam and dropped the call again.

It's just like before, same names popped up again. When I called them out saying it sounded like a scam, they threatened to hack my computer today. Seriously, what a load of rubbish.

I got a call like that too, asking me to verify my date of birth and where I live.

I got a call from someone saying they were from the FCA PPI team, saying I had a claim pending and was due several thousand pounds. The woman on the phone was quite polite and seemed to know the details of my claim. She spoke with a bit of an accent but had a very normal English name. She told me a courier would be coming today with the money or a cheque. She also gave me a reference number and a phone number to call back. Then she said someone from accounts would ring me in about ten minutes to sort out the courier’s arrival time. Total scam, don’t fall for it!
