I just received a call from a chap claiming that my Bosch washing machine's warranty is expired. He was rather insistent, trying to persuade me to renew it on the spot. I simply told him I wasn't interested and ended the call. Typical!

It became instantly clear to me that this was a sham regarding 'washing machine insurance', yet I reckon a pensioner might easily fall for it. It's incredibly disheartening to see these con artists thrive while nobody seems bothered to take action. The authorities, including the police, BT, and trading standards, appear utterly powerless to combat this nonsense. As per usual, no one will take the issue seriously until one of the MPs themselves suffers from this sort of deceit; then, all of a sudden, we'll see swift legislative measures implemented.
