Such a rubbish scam, but they do use some threatening words. Just blocking isn’t enough - make sure you REPORT it. They can only do owt about it if it’s been reported to Action Fraud or the ICO.

If they really want to get in touch, they’ll leave a voicemail you can then look up on sites like this to see if others have flagged it. If there’s no message, it’s probs nothing worth worrying about. Some of these calls can even cost you money just to answer! So for me it’s ignore, check, block every single time.

Just got a phone from a guy with an Asian accent, said his name was Ravi Patel. He mentioned I should be expecting another call while we were speaking. The number 0300 200 3310 showed up on my screen. When I rang back, it wasnt the usual 0345 number I normally dial. I missed a call and decided to ring back. A man with an Indian accent answered, saying he was from HM Inland Revenue. He asked for my name and then said there was an injunction against me for tax evasion, and the police would be serving it soon. He asked for my lawyer’s contact info, and if I didn’t have one, he offered to sort one out for me in half an hour. I told him to just send the details by post, and he immediately ended the call. Definitely a sketchy scam to watch out for.
