Seems like someone has hacked into O2’s system and now they’re sending texts pretending to be from them. Contacted O2 about it and they’re saying it’s a massive data breach panic right now. Don’t make the same mistake I did and trust those messages! They’ve got my bank info and I’m having to sort out cancelling everything now.

I got a call from someone saying they were from a Telephone Preference Service, asking if I'd like to re-register my info. They got my name and address right but had the wrong postcode. I didn’t give them the right one. Then they asked for the expiry date on my VISA card. I made one up just to see what they’d do. After that, they said they’d transfer me to a “Senior Technician” to finish the process. I hung up there. They rang back, and even when I told them it was a scam, they kept insisting it wasn’t and tried to confirm my details again! Pretty sure it’s a scam.
