8 yearsA foreign lady called claiming to be from BT saying my internet was down, so I just hung up. Next call was a foreign bloke, same story, but I gave him a blast with a whistle! Then the day after, they tried again with a recorded message saying the same thing. Seems like the whistle really annoys them! Haha.BT8 yearsToday, this number rang twice, once at 10:28 and then again at 14:32. The first time, some bloke claimed he was from my internet provider. When I asked which one, he said he was with the tech team from BT. I told him that was rubbish since I’m not with BT at all and told him to get lost with his scam. The second call was just dead silence before they cut off after around half a minute. Honestly, if you’re unsure about calls like this, just hang up and ring the actual company yourself to check and maybe report it.BT8 yearsGot a call from a bloke claiming to be from BT, saying there was an issue with my internet. I saw through it instantly and told him everything was fine since I don’t actually own a phone or a laptop. His reply was something like “you’d better be expecting the truth” but I just hung up then and there. Definitely a con, these people should be caught and punished.BT8 yearsI tried to call his bluff but he was weirdly spot on about the internet issues I’ve been facing. I ended up following some of his advice - not my smartest move - before I reminded him I had another appointment (which was true) and luckily didn’t finish everything he said. If you’re struggling with internet stuff, don’t fall for it like I almost did! Fingers crossed my internet stays fine now.8 yearsGot two calls from this number early today. The first one came through at 8 in the morning but they didn’t leave any voicemail. Then a bit later, about 8.45, I picked up and a woman with an accent said “good morning, this is BT.” I wasn’t having any of it though, told her straight away it was a scam and hung up.8 yearsGot calls all morning from this number, started about 8am, and a couple more times after I finally picked up. The person said they were from British Telecom and when I mentioned I'd report them to Ofcom, they just ended the call. Proper dodgy behaviour if you ask me.BTOffcom8 yearsYou gotta threaten em, that's the only way!8 yearsGot two calls from them this morning, both starting right at 8. Didn’t pick up either time. Not shocked they didn’t bother leaving a voicemail! :)8 yearsYet another dodgy call, typical scam stuff. It's a pity the government’s always tied up and can’t seem to tackle these sorts of things properly.8 yearsThey keep ringing me three times a day for five whole days now, can’t they just stop already?!8 yearsGot four calls from this number during my lunch break. Luckily, my BT call blocker phone stopped them every time. Bit ironic really - if they’re actually with BT, you’d think they’d know a way to bypass a BT call blocker!BT8 yearsI keep getting calls from this number but everytime I answer no one says a word. I tried contacting EE about blocking it on my landline, but they said it's not possible. Their only solution was to switch my phone number, which I'm definitely not up for. Anyone know a better way to block these silent calls?EE8 yearsI seem to be getting these calls almost daily now. Usually, it’s an automated voice claiming to be from ‘BT’, warning me my phone line is about to be cut off and to press 1 - total scam, obviously. Other times, it’s a person pretending to be from ‘BT’s technical team’. Earlier today, I kept quizzing a lady who called, and it was pretty clear her English wasn’t great since she just kept sticking to her script no matter what I said. The funny thing is, my phone service isn’t with BT at all!BT8 yearsKept ringing over and over again.8 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were BT tech support, said my internet was infected with viruses or something. They wanted me to log into my computer, but I told them I didn’t recognise them so there was no way I was gonna do that. Then they just ended the call. By the way, we don’t even use BT here.BT8 yearsGot a call from a woman claiming to be from BT's "London" office, saying there was an issue with our broadband. Honestly, that bit was the only part that made any sense because she rattled on like she was reading from a script and refused to drop that posh accent she was forcing. Ended the call quick - that was a waste of at least 3 minutes I won’t be getting back!BTLondon8 yearsGot a call today but when I picked up, nobody was on the line. What’s the point of that? Really don’t understand what they’re trying to achieve.8 yearsGot a call from 02063159487 and it was some automated message threatening to cut off my line today unless I pressed one. Funny thing is, to listen to it again through the BT answering system, you gotta press one anyway. Clearly a scam. They’ve been ringing me on and off for the last few months, usually about my broadband being disconnected. Honestly, these scammers should be stopped and put out of the so-called 'business' they're running.BT8 yearsI got a call from someone saying they were with TalkTalk but as soon as I asked a few questions, they just hung up on me. I looked up the number using 1471 and yep, definitely not TalkTalk calling.TalkTalk8 yearsNo answer and no voicemail left, so I'm thinking it might be a scam.8 yearsSome lady called, said her name was Fiona and claimed she was from BT's tech team. She started with “good afternoon, how are you?” but I told her I didn’t believe she was actually from BT and just ended the call. I didn’t expect BT to ring me anyway, plus she had a strange accent that didn’t sound local.FionaBT8 yearsOn 25/10/18, this number called me on my landline. When I answered, there was nobody there. Oddly, right after that, my phone displayed a power outage message, so I had to reboot it.8 yearsGot a call from 02063159487 with some robotic voice warning me my line would be cut off if I didn’t press one. Funny thing is, to replay the message on my BT answering service you have to press one anyway. Total scam, no doubt. They’ve been bothering me on and off for the last 4 months, usually claim my broadband will be disconnected. Honestly, these ones should be stopped and shut down for whatever scam they think they’re running.8 yearsThey called but never said anything or left a voicemail. If there’s no message, it’s obviously dodgy!8 yearsGot a voicemail claiming to be from BT about our internet, but we don't even have a connection with them. Total confusion!BT8 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were from BT's internet security team. At first, they told me they’d detected a problem with my internet line. Then all of a sudden, they switched it up and said my service was about to be cut off. Total scam, don’t fall for it!BT8 yearsI just picked up and it was silence, so I decided to block that number right away.Submit Your Own Report (020 6315 9487)
