They opened with, "Hello, ma'am, how are you today?" which honestly made me suspicious straight away. Although they seemed to know a fair bit about us, something about the chat didn’t feel right. I told them I’d get in touch with E.on myself and ended the call. After ringing E.on, they confirmed there was nothing scheduled for a meter change on our account. Now E.on has set up a password for our account, so anyone calling on their behalf has to provide it for verification.
