Received a call from someone claiming they got my details from 3 and were representing Carphone Warehouse, trying to entice me with an iPhone 11 Pro Max for a mere £16 and unlimited everything (as if!). The chap then proceeded to throw in offers from O2, EE, and Vodafone as well. It struck me as odd-why on earth would 3 relinquish my number to a rival? He assured me he'd drop me an email to verify his legitimacy, but while I was supposedly on hold, I quickly Googled the number and found loads of warnings declaring it a scam. I confronted him about all the negative feedback I found, and just like that, he hung up!

I requested they send me the details via email. It was all too fishy to be genuine, clearly a scam!
