Somebody said they were from Carphone Warehouse, but I knew that couldn't be right since they stopped sales calls ages ago. So, I just messed about and gave them bogus card info. They phoned back not long after, wanting my full details this time, not just the card. When I called them out and said they were scammers, they just told me to get lost with some rude words. Such cheek!

This bloke rang me saying he got my number from Three and was calling on behalf of Carphone Warehouse to pitch an iPhone 11 Pro Max for £16 a month with unlimited calls and texts - yeah, right! Then he started going on about deals from O2, EE, and Vodafone too. That’s when it hit me - why would Three pass my number to Carphone Warehouse just to push rival networks? He promised to send an email to prove it was legit, and while he put me “on hold”, I quickly googled the number. Loads of people had reported it as a scam. When I called him out on that, he just hung up.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Carphone Warehouse, trying to tempt me with a new deal on the newest iPhone or Samsung. I told them I already have the latest Samsung, paying £40 a month, but they said they could do me a deal where I’d pay just over £20 a month for the first six months. Then they said they’d cover my current contract buyout, which means I’d be stuck with my current phone anyway, and then offered to switch me to the latest iPhone at £30 a month. I asked them to send me the details in an email, but honestly, it smelt like a total scam to me.

When I told them to remove my number and asked to speak to a manager, they got aggressive and started threatening me, saying they'd track down where I live and that they 'couldn't care less'.
