Today, I received a rather dodgy automated call from this number purporting to be O2. They were on about some fantastic offer for a new phone that I simply couldn't resist. However, I quickly realised it's a scam and this number has absolutely no connection to O2 whatsoever!

Some bloke called claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, but his accent was all over the place and I couldn’t really catch what he was saying. He kept going on about some new iPhone deal, but I told him I wasn’t interested, especially as I’m more of an Android fan. Next thing, he just ended the call. If it was a legit Carphone Warehouse person, they wouldn’t be pushing only one phone like that, nor would they just hang up like that. Been with CPW for years and this definitely doesn’t match their style.
