I rang and after saying hello a few times, nobody answered at all. I stayed on the phone for about 23 seconds but got nothing back, super weird. Dated 31/10/25.

Got a call from an Asian guy claiming to be from Microsoft, saying there was an issue with my PC. I told him I’ve heard all that nonsense before and ended the call. Then he rang me three more times from different numbers, pushing to find out why I’d cut him off. In the end, my husband told him, quite nicely, to buzz off.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Car Phone Warehouse, offering an iPhone 13 for £30 a month. When I asked why they were calling from a firm that’s been gone ages, the person just brushed it off, saying “don’t worry about that”. I didn’t hold back and told them they and their scam crew were beneath even the lowest rubbish. I hung up, but they called back immediately. Not to blow my own trumpet, but I reckon I scored about 11 out of 10 on giving cheek to a scammer.

Got a call on 06/11/2021 around 11:44 from a young woman with an Indian accent who said she was from Carphone Warehouse. When I mentioned how their company pops up everywhere online, she just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from this number and I answered with a simple 'hello'. There was an awkward silence, probably while their system tried to figure out who it was. After a beat, I said 'hello' again but in a high-pitched voice just for a laugh. A woman with a weird accent came on and mumbled something about healthcare before asking how I was. I told her I was dead. She replied with 'Great' like it was the best news ever, then carried on with her spiel. Eventually, I cut her off and asked, “Are you even hearing me? I said I’m dead and you say ‘Great’?” That kind of threw her script out of whack because she just hung up. Bit childish but felt good messing with them instead.
